Photography for beginners help

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if people had any webpages/books suggestions that I could take a look at for a beginner who wants to learn more about photography. I recently purchased a Nikon d50, and want to be able to take full advantage of using it. I've never really done more than P&S with the previous cameras I had either.

I've looked through the pinned post, but was hoping to find some more resources for a beginner. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Oh well my bad, here:

http://www.kenrockwell.com <- this dude has EXCELLENT links regarding beginners

you should check out dpreviews forum as well as dcresource

http://www.dpreview.com/forums/

http://www.dcresource.com/forums/

http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/

No need to post or join them, just use their search I found very usefull links regarding "how-tos"

Edit: well I suggested books, cause unless you have a laptop, you aren't going to be carrying you PC around to where the link says how you should take the picture? You could always print the stuff you find too!

look closer and you will notice that those ppl are all canon side ;)

But I have to agree Ken is too much nikon lover. But who cares, his pictures speak for themselves...

back to topic: another linky http://www.nikondigitutor.com/index_eng.html

Well I have to agree as well on kenrockwell being a bit biased on nikons, still he has very good pointers on what to do and what not to, and since lawtai is getting a nikon I guess no harm done

PS: this last link by pink floyd is really good.
