Is the 683 build really buggy?

Nope, it's more stable than last build (566). :) At least, here it is.

The only thing they gotta get rid of is the stupid ads.. BUt they kinda add there own sense of character to it..

It seems to be ok. The thing I see is that it didn't take the messanger beta icon off the desktop and installed a new one to. So there is two icons, but they go to the same program.

Yeah that's annoyed some people. If you want to turn it off (ie have it as usual) go into options >> Messages >> Tick the one that says show contact says before every message. Restart messenger and you're good (Y).

This 683 build is sweet.. I like the new UI and sounds too... It works great with the a-patch and the live messenger plus v4 too.

why anyone would want to not group messages i will never know. it just saves space and looks better.

The feature that shows song information works together with Microsoft Windows Media Player, and you may need to turn on the necessary components manually.

• 1. Start Windows Media Player.
  2. Press ALT+T.
  3. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  4. Click the Plug-ins tab.
  5. In the left pane, click Background.
  6. In the right pane, select Windows Live Messenger Music Plug-in.
  7. Click OK.

I love it. I don't see what else they can add for a final build. Seems like everything is complete to me. All it could use is tabs I suppose.

well, most of my contacts uses colors but Msg+ doesn't "color" the pseudo..

Messenger Plus! Live won't work fully with the latest build of WLM. Just wait for the final release of Plus! Live.

I think this build is an improvement over the other builds except for one major part. The colour scheme is still too light. The way you could recolour build 562 was absolutely perfect, and I really hope they bring that back instead of the really washed out colour schemes that are in this build.

I think I understood that we're talking abt Msg+ Live.

I just have this problem and can't read the "colored" pseudo

but maybe this option isnt in msg+live..

I just realised....

in this new version.. all though the logo in the top left hand corner is tacky and the old version.

if you press "Windows Live Call" button - there is the new logo.

Anyone noticed this: in the login screen they changed .NET Passport to Windows Live ID (left lower corner)...
