Tokyo, Japan – April 28 – Ricoh Co., Ltd. (president and CEO: Masamitsu Sakurai) announced that it will release the Caplio R4 Mystic Blue as a color variation of the Caplio R4 that went on sale in March 2006. It also sports a vibration correction function.

*As of April 28 for compact digital cameras 150 grams or less.

The new Caplio R4 Mystic Blue suggests a mystical lake, just in time for the summer outdoor season. This color model with a high-quality feel complements the lineup that includes the original silver and black models.

The Caplio R4 has been well received mainly by customers replacing old cameras or buying an additional camera. Qualities they valued included the 28 to 200 mm (when converted to 35 mm film equivalent) high-magnification wide-angle zoom lens, vibration correction function, high-resolution 6.04-million-pixel CCD, 1 cm macro subject distance (a Ricoh strong point), and quick shutter and startup response, and its portability.
