saxondale.
I have a Canon 350D and for some reason the lens ontop of the mirror (when you look through the view finder, you are looking through that lens, with all the squares on) is slightly dirty, i think when i was changing my lenses around. I have a question, does this show up on the pictures? (im not talking aobut the CMOS) im pretty sure it doesnt, since i have shot alot of photos and no marks or dust are on my photos. So do i need to worry about getting it cleaned as soon as possible? since when i look through the view finder i can see some dirt, its a bit annoying. What can i use to clean it? turkishdelight
If you have dust on your mirror but not on the sensor itself, it's recommended to get it professionally cleaned if you wish. If you're good, though, you could probably clean it yourself with a microfiber cloth and a soft blower. Oh, and dust that's not on the sensor won't show up in pictures, so it's more of an annoyance than anything.
