50 can't diss to save his life. Juice can battle anybody, at any time, and win. You're probably saying he "sold out" because he released an album that wasn't just a battle compilation. So basically that would mean every emcee who's released an album is a sellout, eh?

G-Unit is a joke, and a lot of West Coast rap I dislike, but I must say The Game is decent. But he's normally the type of artist I hate.

last but not least...

THE FUGEES! God they are awesome.

What I thought was funny was how Ja Rule was the biggest rapper in the world, everyone loved him to death, the second 50 Cent came out and said he didn't like him, everyone that loved him so much then hated him and thought he was terrible. He hasn't had a hit since. Got to love morons!

This is for the hip-hop fans here at Neowin to share our lists, good MCs, etc. Just a general discussion of good (or bad ;)) hip-hop music :)

THIS THREAD IS NOT FOR TROLLS TO EXPRESS THEIR OPINIONS UPON THE GENRE.

Sorry but that caveat must be posted every single time a hip-hop thread is made.

To start us off:

1. Dr. Dre is the most overrated producer ever.

Dr.Dre was God. Now with all the BS he's been signing, I dont know how Detox is gonna turn out...

Thats a long list. But Jay-Z is the greatest rapper ever...period.

That's very debatable.

IMO: Pac, Big, Nas and Jigga are the top 4...IMO...

Yup. I've always been a Ja Rule fan. :)

He dissappeared since almost 2 years, but he should drop a new album in September this year. There are already some new tracks on his MySpace which IMO are good.

Ja gives Queens a bad image. And now with G-Unit 50 even worse...

He released that "50 Cent In My Eye"....oh wait "Blood In My Eye" a year ago I think but (naturally) it flopped. I heard the single and muted my speakers.

Nope, never seen it. Thanks. I would never think they'd participate in something like that. I found it pretty entertaining.

Now, if I could only enjoy the radio for more than 10 minutes straight again...

dunno how many of you know?, Dre's never written his own music ? ...

using ghost writers i wouldnt really think give you legendary status as a rapper... its same why p diddy flopped coz doja a.ka. the game came out and said he'd been ghost writing for him... no1 calls diddy a legend do they ?

      I hear you on browser password manager, in my case I have two Google profiles, one was created when Google decided to grandfather us out of Workspace for Domains (with the replacement being too expensive for 25 users) resulting in my domain email address no longer being able to be registered to a new Workspace I created (for myself and another co-owner) so I could use Takeout and sync over some stuff to the new Workspace. Then I have my personal Google profile which I could be logged into on my desktop or Mobile, so I am saving passwords on one or the other, and when an URL changes another password for the same service gets added, it basically ends up being a giant mess. Unless I missed something is there a local decent password manager that can override the browser password managers for Chrome, Edge, Firefox (profiles) so that there is only one vault, and does that also support Passkeys (which to me are still confusing because sometimes it will ask for a Passkey on a phone I am no longer using!) Microsofts implementation of Passkeys is the worst!

      It's utterly baffling that we have no idea when we'll get new features even well after they've been released. Why Microsoft thinks this is a good rollout strategy is beyond me.

      I owned a lot of Soundblaster cards over the years all the way back to the ISA slot era. I use a Soundblaster X3 external now because I'm able to run it through a KVM and have it follow the machine I happen to be using. It drives a set of JBL 305 powered monitors wonderfully. I'm not gaming or doing home theater through it, so rear channels aren't a consideration for me, though it does have side / rear / sub outputs.
