fuel925
Does anyone know of any online tutorials and/or books to recommend that will teach me all I need to know about ISO, shutter speeds, apetures etc? So far I know that to blur a background and make the subject stand out, I can change to apeture priority and choose the lowest possible apeture. To stop action, I can use shutter priority at the fastest possible shutter speed, or a slightly lower speed for some blur. I need some literature that will go into this in more depth, and cover the various manual modes my camera offers (P, A, S, M).

Syphonic
To stop action you don't need the fastest shutter speed possible, just one fast enough. Check the guides at photo.net, particularly the sports one.
