Jordan M.
A new page, Microsoft Design, has been discovered today. Many new services or updates to existing ones can be found on it, but the most interesting of these is most certainly the show-off of a new Microsoft Office 2007 colour scheme. This time, grey is the new one, which lets us suppose an olive grey one is on the way, making the product match Aero and the three "Luna" colour schemes at once. andrew_f
I think its REALLY stupid having an interface such as Office'07's... When doing work I want to concentrate on the text or data... not the bloomin' interface :( </rant>
Amnesia
does it have a 'classic' option?
jlmodell
If so many ppl believe this, why do they spend so much time revising their darn interfaces;

darkrats
Does anyone know if the "grey" theme is available now? Or do we have to wait for the finished product to get this option? Thanks.

fishrman
Uhhh, guys, this looks like the Obsidian theme that's been there for quite some time. Unless I'm missing something on that Microsoft Design page, of course. Express
I find the ribbon layout extremely intuitive. Blue is still my preferred color. I haven't seen how office 2007 looks on Vista, Does it support the transparencies?
I8PP
The grey colour scheme was posted here: https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?show...amp;p=587699289 In Vista, the titlebar gets the glass treatment.

ViperSnake
Yes it does, the frame and the section to the right of the orb with the filename on it is done in a Vista style.
jimbo11883
I think the whole top part should be done in aero glass. When maximized it wouldn't, of course.
Fourjays Veteran Posted July 15, 2006 Veteran Share Posted July 15, 2006 I really like the new Office 2007 UI. MUCH easier than 2003 and previous. I managed to create a pretty good looking doc in Word easily. Found a load of features too that I never even knew existed (which is why they changed the interface). L3thal Veteran Posted July 15, 2006 Veteran Share Posted July 15, 2006 I tend to like all the color schemes they've had so far. I guess I am not that critical when it comes to appearance ;)
qdave
I dont like their black interface in vista. Sure it fits with os designs, but somehow i just dont like black ui.
MulletRobZ
I personally like the interface, but it's going to be interesting to find out how Microsoft ports this to Office 2008 for Mac (or whatever the next Mac office is called)! :D The Black theme looks best, mind ya. Office seems to be the only product in which Microsoft is truly innovative with these days.
