@DjmUK, yes thats correct. alternatively to zipping it, you could also follow the instructions in ap_packing.rtf (found in the translation packs thread) and repack it into your very own july full/lite release ;)

@ragingtoad, dont worry bout checking, just install the june update and reinstall the july update ;)

@tscostas and everyone else, my pleasure :)

module panic on windows genuine Advantage Notification Tool (K905474)

you are running windows xp home sp2 (Locale 1033) + IE7

parent and/or Prerequiste item missing?

This might be because I forgot to install June? I dont remember if I did or not. How do I check to see if I have June or ...... just fix the above problem if its something else.

I think that is probably because you don't have June installed

Hi, I know I don't post here often but I wanted to say something to all of you who want the full release more often. The guys who make this program spend a lot of time on it, and they don't have to make this program at all, or they could charge for it instead of making it free. I don't think we have the right to be so demanding on a free program they already spend so much time on.

@CeeBrez, you need all the update releases between the dec lite release and july update release too. install them and then reinstall the july update.

if you cant find them all (most mirrors would have dropped them by now i expect), replace what youve got with the april lite release and get may, june, and july update releases.

Jan thru Jun updates Dec Lite program no problem. July update will not update Dec Lite. Same results on two computers. Same error message.

Same July Update will update Dec Full and April Full program(s) no problem.

active sync is not included because i found with the 4.1 installer that it didnt support silent installs, and besides i believe its only useful to people with PDA's and such which isnt most people.

it apparently helps diagnose network connectivity troubles. to run it see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914440

The network connectivity troubleshooter seems to cause more trouble than its worth for me.

Its basically the same as than in Windows Live Messenger - and all these improvements mean that I can't connect because the 'default gateway is offline' even though its not - all that happens is the troubleshooter can't see it as icmp is disabled - and it cracks it. MSN could still connect but the net troubleshooter stops msn from attempting it.

Argh release a full version please. One has to apply Aprl May June and then July. Reboots at all... i thought the idea was to have them in one go after installing XpSP2 embedded.

Patience.... Install the April, Update the April, May June and July updates - do NOT run it at the end, deselect that. Then run autopatcher at the end.

The run now option is there by my guess for those who download the updates each month and maintain a working copy on there network, and update it each month - then run it to apply the latest months patches - like the QMUP is doing.

There is no need to run it and reboot between updating the Autopatcher Installation.. Install, Apply each months updates and then let Autopatcher run.

Jan thru Jun updates Dec Lite program no problem. July update will not update Dec Lite. Same results on two computers. Same error message.

Same July Update will update Dec Full and April Full program(s) no problem.

well i dont know why, i just installed the xp aprl lite release + may update + june update + july update here and it ran fine. if you still have the installers, i advise that you delete the installation and reinstall them.

I accidentally installed wga with your latest (july update). Now can you please give instructions how to get rid of it.

sorry but let it be a lesson that you check what your installing next time. as for telling you how to remove them, i dont actually know myself and im not sure its even an allowed topic on neowin, try google, im sure youll find an answer.

>>theblazingangel>> where it reads "european patcher" it should read "european portuguese patcher".

guess i kinda forgot to type the important part :p

but i suppose that my question is answered since other language packs have been released in the meantime and i haven't got nothing 'bout them in my inbox

cheers and thanx and keep up the g?d work:yes::

Try System Restoring it, and if your one of those people that disables system restore, i'm going to laugh at you.

More like, if you're one of those people that actually thinks system restore is a good idea, I'm going to laugh at you.

heheheh

Do your own imaging and backups, placing your trust in MS to handle it well is asking for trouble.

It's easier than backups - and if I had left it enabled for my second partition, I wouldn't have to ask a data recovery company to help me now (long story). :pinch:

BTW, nice sig DjmUK. ;)

hey people, I just downloaded and installed the April version (full version) of Autopatcher. Then , I downloaded the July update and while running the July update i get this message:

anyone know how to fix this and get the July update installed? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yup, got rid off it. Although I don't understand why Autopatcher has even an option for crap like wga. Isn't Autopatcher supposed to be some kind of alternative for official windows update. Just wondering, guess I just have to be more careful with future updates.

i am new to autopatcher. i downloaded "autoatcher xp april 2006" and installed but while rebooting the computer an error occured. my comuter could not restart again and continue rebooting on its own. after that i've to reinstall the windows again. what's wrong with "autopatcher xp april 2006". plz help.

Hello.Greting from slovenia.Ok i download this version of auto patcher and i try to install it but i get an error. An existing avtopatcher installation was not dedected in the install directory. What shuld i do?whitch version shud i download first?where shuld i find it? Tnx for the replay  :(

You need to have all of the updates from April to July, so download and extract these in order before running the main autopatcher program

-April Full

-May Update

-June Update

-July Update

Well, it's not checked off by default, it's the users problem if they just check boxes willy-nilly.

It's probably an issue with one of the hotfixes contained within AutoPatcher not an issue with AutoPatcher itself. You should probably experiment wih the different hotfixes, installing them one at a time, to isolate the problem

Could it be, that the Autopatcher ist infected by a certain Virus or Trojan called W32/Downloader.AEKX ?

I ask this, because my Virusscanner (F-Prot) tells me so, when I try to download the May-Update and the April-Full-Version of the programm, has anybody else encountered this problems? Or are these to files built in a way, that the meet the criteria of the virus-patterns by chance?

Greetz

    • As I've been usually saying lately - we all can thank "AI" for this.
    • Friday Windows 11 preview builds are here. Insiders in the Experimental (formerly Dev) and Beta Channel can download builds 26300.8697 and 26220.8690. My Windows11 device on the Preview Channel just got 26220.8728. My guess is this build is a nightly update from 26220.8690.
    • Traffic has a surprisingly unexpected impact on your surroundings by Sayan Sen Image by Radik 2707 via Pexels A collaborative study by researchers from several Israeli institutions found that everyday pollution from traffic and industrial activity measurably changed the atmospheric electric field over the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, providing new evidence of how human activity can influence the lower atmosphere. The research was led by Dr. Roy Yaniv of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Gertner Institute at Sheba Medical Center, Dr. Assaf Hochman of the Fredy & Nadine Herrmann Institute of Earth Sciences at the Hebrew University, and Prof. Yoav Yair of Reichman University. The study also involved Itay Froomer, a student from Hadera High School and the Israeli Museum of Medicine and Science (Technoda), who carried out the work as part of the Ministry of Education's 5-unit physics research track. The researchers focused on the atmospheric electric field under fair-weather conditions. Even in the absence of storms, a weak electric field naturally exists between Earth's surface and the atmosphere. One of the main ways scientists measure this field is through the Potential Gradient (PG), which is the inverse of the vertical component of the electric field. PG is a key part of the global electric circuit, a planet-wide system of electrical currents maintained by thunderstorms and electrified clouds around the world. Scientists have long known that the atmospheric electric field can be influenced by factors ranging from large-scale atmospheric processes to local weather conditions such as dust, fog and clouds. Human-made pollution is also known to play a role, but understanding exactly how urban emissions affect the electric field close to the ground has remained an area of ongoing research. To investigate this relationship, the team analyzed measurements from a newly installed electric field mill, an instrument used to continuously monitor the strength of the atmospheric electric field. The instrument was installed at the Center for Technological Education (Roter House) in Holon and became operational in August 2024. It was funded by Israel's Ministry of Education and the Holon municipality. The electric field mill forms part of a broader monitoring network that includes nearby meteorological stations and air-quality monitoring sites. This allowed researchers to compare electric field measurements with detailed weather data and pollution records to better understand what was driving changes in the Potential Gradient. The study focused on two major urban pollutants: fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and nitrogen oxides (NOx), both commonly produced by vehicle traffic and industrial activity. PM2.5 refers to microscopic airborne particles small enough to remain suspended in the atmosphere for extended periods, while NOx is a group of gases released during fuel combustion. Researchers examined daily, weekly and seasonal patterns in the atmospheric electric field and compared them with changes in pollutant concentrations. Their analysis revealed a clear relationship between NOx levels and changes in the Potential Gradient, particularly during morning and evening rush hours when traffic emissions were at their highest. “What we observe is a direct physical link between emission peaks and electrical variability,” explained Dr. Roy Yaniv. “NOx reduces atmospheric conductivity very quickly, so the electric field responds almost instantaneously during traffic rush hours.” Atmospheric conductivity describes how easily electrical charges move through the air. According to the researchers, nitrogen oxides rapidly alter this conductivity, causing a near-immediate response in the electric field. PM2.5, however, was associated with a delayed response. The researchers attributed this difference to the particles' longer atmospheric residence time, meaning they remain in the atmosphere for longer periods, as well as their different microphysical interactions with surrounding air and atmospheric components. The study also identified a pronounced "weekend effect." In Israel, traffic volumes and some industrial activity decline significantly on Fridays and Saturdays. During these periods, concentrations of both NOx and PM2.5 dropped, and corresponding changes were observed in the atmospheric electric field. “The weekend signal demonstrates just how sensitive the electric field is to changes in human activity,” the researchers noted. “When emissions decline, the electrical environment adjusts at once, providing a high-resolution indicator of urban atmospheric conditions.” The findings showed that pollution levels can influence not only the chemical composition of the atmosphere but also its electrical properties. Researchers said the results strengthened the case for using atmospheric electricity as an additional tool for environmental monitoring, particularly in densely populated urban areas where anthropogenic, or human-caused, influences are most pronounced. The study also pointed to potential public health applications. By combining air-quality measurements with observations of atmospheric electricity, researchers said they could gain a more complete picture of how urban atmospheric conditions change over time. “Integrating air-quality data with electric-field measurements gives us a clearer picture of how the lower atmosphere evolves moment by moment,” the researchers added. “It’s a framework that can support both scientific insight and practical environmental decision-making.” Beyond the scientific findings, the project highlighted a collaboration between universities, public institutions and secondary education. Researchers said the work demonstrated how students could take part in real-world environmental research while contributing to studies of air quality, atmospheric processes and their potential effects on society. • We aren't even at the all-star game and Microsoft is talking about an update that will most likely be released during the World Series if not after. A lot can happen in the world between now and the 2026 World Series, including the 2026 FIFA Cup. Tell me about it again after the FIFA Cup is concluded. That should allow plenty of time to prepare for it.
