Hey finally Congress does something I can get behind. they passed a bill the other day creating tougher sex offender laws. I think this is particularly good these days given all I have been reading lately about child soliciation and pornography and all sorts of horrible things. About freaking time, I say...

This particluar bill...(Abbreviated, see full link below)

1) Creates a national public sex offender registry.

2) Provides consistency among all the states, so sex offenders have the same requirements throughout the country.

3) Penalizes failure to comply with registration duties as a state and federal felony.

4) Enhances the ability of law enforcement to track the location of sex offenders when they move, so there won't be as many "missing" sex offenders in the system.

6) Increases the number of Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces across the nation.
