Aero Diamond is coming, look at my sig, thats what Aero Diamond is. Compare that to the current buttons in the titlebar! :)

techdude, that is not Diamond. That's a concept image done up in an illustration package to show off transparency.

Kam Vedbrat, one of the lead DWM/Aero architects had things to say about that image:

Feel free to comment, and combat these points. No Flaming. Got nothing nice to say? Shutup. Thank you.

Microsoft has to push new themes into the hands of beta testers to ensure a quality product. Luna was not added at the "last minute." It was added at the Beta 2 milestone which gave people ample time to test it out and ensure that it didn't break any applications.

If "Aero Diamond" is as radical as a couple people say it is, it has to be beta tested. Since we haven't seen this supposedly vector driven UI by Beta 2, we will not see it in Windows Vista RTM.

glass first appeard in 4074 i think?....

they have been working on it and we're now at 5505 thats like 1,500 builds they have been refining and working on aero glass. to remake this diamond wouldnt be such a small thing. why my doubts are on it.

I'm alreay seeing the disapointment some will have on the release day.

Also, Luna made it appearence on Beta 2, not RC, and not Gold. So that they could properly test it.

Does anyone realize "vector glass" is just vector graphics, which the WPF does well. Anyone who has used Microsoft Max or any other WPF app has been beta testing vector graphics. Greg Schechter did a Channel 9 video where he stated that the DWM can be made to render in vectors instead of bitmaps if they wished. This is not a huge new feature that is suddenly thrown into Vista, it is already a part of it.

Now the question remains whether MS will actually switch to Vector rendering or not. They already said they won't do vector icons because they are not able to do the designs they are able to do with bitmaps. So they might have decided to not go with vector rendering, but the capability is there for them to switch to it.

Nice joke.

Your joking... aren't you?

rofl. took me some time. i think he means, there are 1500 numbers between those two, which obviosuly everyone can see and doesnt need to be pointed out lol.

The Dev Teams deploys a new build every DAY at 6:30 am at Redmond Labs.... I'm pretty sure there is about 1500 builds :). You just are not a Developer at Microsoft therefore they will not run to everyone's doors saying how many builds they've deployed so far.

Common sense or Ignorance

There's nowhere near 1500 builds of Longhorn/Vista. Let's get that clear right now. For much of Longhorn's development builds WERE NOT compiled in main everyday, far from it. Also, builds 4094 - 4999 were never compiled, they were skipped when the project was reset.

Not quite. No offense, but you're the one speaking from ignorance.

There weren't many 4xxx builds (less than 100 or so probably). The project got reset, and everything basically started over at 5xxx.

Asking "how many builds of Vista/Longhorn" there were doesn't really make sense. Part of Vista get compiled every day on dev's boxes. There are dozens of full compiles that happen every day over the various branches.

The actual "official" build numbers are just as hard to track, and a lot depends on the point in development you're talking about.

Reading very much into them from an outside perspective isn't going to gain you any useful insights.

You guys are all nuts.

Lots of things that were considered for Vista didn't make it. Just like I'm sure Apple has considered lots of ideas for OS X, even experimented with some, and then dropped them or punted them to later releases.

Wow a ms guy that doesnt know its coming. Sadly ill add you to the list of other ms guys i know who dont know its coming. Facts are they dont want even you guys to know about it ;) thats why its a secret. I dont care how much they deny it to you i just cant say how i know

Little birdies are great :D lol

I guess we shall refer to this thread when it doesn't arrive then. Bookmarked.

For sure, the confidence of Nexus has to stir the curiosity of even the hardest skeptics. I for one believe the conspiracies :shiftyninja: we'll see though. Bookmarked as well

It's funny that "even MS devs do not know about diamond", but "Joe" Nexus know about it.

For you to know it's comming, you must have seen it. Or was just someone who told you? Well, maybe that "someone" has the same credibility as all the other MS devs that are saying it is not comming. Why is that "bird" so special?

If you saw it, well, please, tell us what are the colours of that Aero Diamond. Is it black? How are the buttons? What is the animated wallpaper they will be using?

Number one, I've never heard of Vector Glass... what is Vector Glass, are you reffering to Aero Glass? - (I looked at myself and said "you look like an Idiot Jaz"...)

Number two, Aero Diamond... well there is Aero, wich is codename for Vista's UI richness and improvements, and there was Diamond, which I believe was a codename for something else" Then I added: Media Center right?.... and he said "yes, yes that's what it was I believe... but I have no knowledge of anything called Vector Glass being tested right now neither any Aero Diamond... I really don't know"

Nexus I cannot wait to give a list of all the biggest list of **** that you have said through out the vista beta cycle that hasn't come true. You have the biggest mouth I have ever seen. Everyone here will be gloating when you are proven wrong.

I work in vbl_ux - I think I'd know ;)

But you seem to not. I think i could easily find someone else in vbl_ux that doesnt know.

According to Nexus, you're a nobody.

Please quote were i said Brandon is a nobody

Im not the only one who knows its coming. I know of 4 other people who know its comming (besides ms people).

    • Forza Horizon 6 gets big bug-fixing and balancing update by Taras Buria Today, Playground Games released a big Forza Horizon 6 update with a long list of fixes, patches, and balancing tweaks that the studio promised earlier. Version 375.327 is now available on Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox, offering users improvements for AI, audio, design, performance, road discovery, upgrades, visuals, online play, and more. Some of the most notable changes in the Series 2 update include rebalanced drivatars, particularly their difficulty and race start behavior. As such, the game should be more balanced on higher difficulty levels, and AI cars should not shoot out when the race starts as if they have rocket boosters. Speaking of difficulty, developers nerfed Drag Tires physics for a more expected and realistic behavior. They are no longer the go-to option for record-breaking times in road racing, and all leaderboard entries with drag tires will be removed. Completionists will also be glad to get a new feature that lets you see road discovery percentage in each region, which should make discovering all roads easier while keeping it quite challenging and interesting (I spent quite a long time finding the last road). Festival Playlist is also getting some much-needed fixes, including patches for bugs that allowed completing Seasonal Jobs ahead of time or where weekly challenges would not unlock for some players. Developers will retroactively give reward points to all who could not complete all challenges due to these bugs. Other changes include changes to Horizon Play progression so that it is easier to reach Level 100, audio improvements on lower-spec devices, fixes for visual glitches, including pixelated smoke, and more. Developers also addressed the currently non-working Eliminator, an online mode gamers used to farm credits with a Hummer EV exploit. Playground Games plans to re-enable it soon. As a gesture of goodwill, players will get a free McLaren Sabre. Those who used the exploit will not be banned, but developers plan to roll back credits to a maximum of 10M for all who farmed credits using the exploit. You can find the complete changelog for the latest Forza Horizon 6 update here.
