Lost - Season Three

It also shows that they have pretty recent contact with the outside world if they were able to dig up all that information including the autopsy report.

Another thing...The place that Jack is being held in is under water?! I thought they said there would be no underwater hatches...

They would need Internet access (possible for sure) and probably a bunch of private investigators to pull that off.

Plus remember, he hadn't ate or drank water in who knows how long. He was drugged up with something on the way to his jail (for lack of a better word), so who knows what else that did. It wasn't like he was in top physical condition.

Excellent catch. I hadn't even thought of that, which is absolutely true. So he isn't a "######" at all. Go without food or water for a while (and take meds that have a side effect of dehidration) and then get a girl to hit you in the head. See if you aren't knocked out.

They never said that there would be not

under water hatch

, what they always said is they weren't going to answer that. And they never directly answered.

The Underwater Hatch is the called the Hydra...it was featured on the Official Vidcast from Monday...Damon Lindelof wore a hat from it with the logo on it.

Question- if time moves slower on the island, wouldn't it take a really long time to get those emails back concerning information about Jack?

We don't know that time moves slower...do we?

Dont they sometimes send the documents with the body when transporting bodies back to a different country?

That's an interesting question. I would assume that they might fax findings to wherever the person lives and then send the documentation along with the body.

If you remember when Jack found the coffin it was empty so anything inside would of gone and how quick the others reacted when the plane broke up means that they could of got to it :shifty:

(Wooo the files up for me to watch :D )

Someone keep bugging me "Where are the Kids?"

I don't know...

I was wondering that too, but the community the Others are living in looks pretty big. We probably didn't see much of it compared to how big it is. We'll probably see them in future episodes. At least I hope so.

Well, the autopsy report would be with the coffin, but a whole folder of info?

The coffin theory would explain the autopsy report, but not the rest. There's more to it than just the coffin. They're bound to have more than just one source of information. That folder was very thick. Not like they just Google Jack Shepard's name :p

Well, the autopsy report would be with the coffin, but a whole folder of info?

On Jack's whole life, who his wife was, etc.?

I agree, that doesn't make sense.

Clearly they went outside the Island to get that info. There is no other possible explanation. Also explains why they know so much about everyone else.

They had to hire some type of private investigators, as

the Others clearly didn't expect the plane to crash, nevermind who was on it. Remember they thought it was an earthquake at first and they said there "might" be survivors.

When Henry said get a list...do you think he then went off the island or someone did with the co-ordinates that he gave Michael end of season 2 to get the info?

I don't think he or anyone else has actually left island. They got the information without leaving, but that's just my opinion.

Ho ****, that episode was as good as season 1s premier. I was a bit worried that JJ would pull an Alias on us, but so far so good. I can't beleive how tight that show was. Oh and Jack was getting pretty dehydrated and low on sugars etc, thats probably why she could knock him out(not to mention the rigors of swimming in that current!).

Bring on next episode!

Is it possible for that island to receive satellite broadband?...just a hunch

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
