Lost - Season Three

That's an interesting idea. So many possibilities, I'm just going crazy thinking of all the information we got  Can't wait for more!

In theory they could also tap into one of those underwater fiber optic cables, if one ran near the island.

Or depending on the tech, something like WiMax could work...assuming they are close to civilization.

truly amazing, i wonder who the hell that kid was... in the cell across from sawyer. i highly doubt that was just a one time thing. hell, nothing is a one time thing on lost :D

I am thinking he was a decoy...meant to see how Sawyer would react to certain situations. You saw how easy he got out of that cell right?

there was that cable that ran into the ocean sayid found way back in season 1...

Perhaps they didn't have to do any research at all... maybe they drugged Jack and he told them all about himself. We assume that we saw the first time he woke up, but maybe he was awake before, but under the influence of some serious drugs.

I do think they did outside research though, I just wanted to throw that theory out there.

Ok i agree with them getting the autopsy report from the coffin....there may have been some information about the next of kin in there.....that folder could've been all fake though.......as after she came out ben said "nice job".....so she could've bluffed her way through that......when he asked if his wife was happy....she could've totally made that up by saying "she's happy"......imo at least

They prolly have internet (Satellite?) and thats how they got all the info. I still wish jack would have kicked some ass when she came into the room. He should have grabbed her taser then and used it on "Ben" then knocked her out and run like hell. O well maybe in the next episode.

Oh and Jack was getting pretty dehydrated and low on sugars etc, thats probably why she could knock him out(not to mention the rigors of swimming in that current!).

Or shes like any other .. Other and is extremely strong.

Wow... just WOW! I loved it.. now I really do wish it was 2 hours long.

Think Tags would be best bet until everyone has seen...:)

Again, this was discussed in the season two thread. The only thing that should be posted in spoiler tags are spoilers about episodes that haven't aired yet.

All information about the episode that is airing or any episode already shown shouldn't be shown in spoiler tags. The title of the thread even says "spoilers and theories, be warned".

Why would anyone want to come in this thread an hour or two before the episode airs anyway? Everyone on the west coast should know that as soon as 7pm rolls around, the spoilers are comin'.

They would need Internet access (possible for sure) and probably a bunch of private investigators to pull that off.

I think you guys are all missing it.....

They didn't get all that information from Jack from outside the island...

They got the information from Jack's head. They gave him some type of drug that caused him to start having halucinations... side effects of the drugs... They took or copied jack's whole life out of his brain and wrote it down. Surely it is possilbe they came up with that type of research.

Or they could have drugged him with truth syrim and asked him all these questions again, like an animal to gain his trust and then shock him by showing him they have all the answers.

sorry for bad spelling.

They're not bluffing:

Jack: ...My ex-wife---

Juliet: Sarah?

She knew her name.

Also, am I the only one that caught Juliet's lie?

Didn't she tell Jack her name was "Juliet" but Ben said "Good work, Julia"

????????

or not?

EDIT

Yes, I just checked!

Even in the beginning, Adam calls her "Julia" but she tells Jack "Hi.. Jack. I'm Juliet"

Obviously she's another treacherous lying ***&% and Jack's falling for it! Oh noes!

I wonder if they know about Monica Dean? I want to know!

When does Monica show up again!?????!!

PLEASE??~

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
