I think you guys are all missing it.....

They didn't get all that information from Jack from outside the island...

They got the information from Jack's head. They gave him some type of drug that caused him to start having halucinations... side effects of the drugs... They took or copied jack's whole life out of his brain and wrote it down. Surely it is possilbe they came up with that type of research.

Or they could have drugged him with truth syrim and asked him all these questions again, like an animal to gain his trust and then shock him by showing him they have all the answers.

On the other hand, season 2 showed us that the others already know a lot about the survivors, without delving into drug-induced hypnosis.

It's a possibility, but my guess is that they have access to the outside world.

Give me a break. This are the "others"?!... A bunch of hippies that discuss about books?. Come on.

And this "Ben", wow, he is talking back what they did in the hatch?. lol

Ahh. I see. They replace the damn button to 'clues' to solve. And the 'control' is not a timer but an +45 years old ladie with sexual represion. HAHA. This is Lost, and we are.

Just waiting to the next hilarious ep. This season start bad and will end bad. Nothing like the seconds season, where the 'group' has an objective. Survive. And what they do now?. Dont make me laugh

Ah, and be aware. The Others knows EVERYTHING. LOL **** that

It's a possibility, but my guess is that they have access to the outside world.

That is a good point. They proved in the past to know certain things about many of the survivors. Remember they had a whole list of every survivor from the tail, like the day of or after the crash?

Now drug-induced hypnosis certainly could get out some internal thoughts that their private investigations or internet research could not bring up. Very useful when they are trying to break down Jack and take away his will.

Yes, I just checked!

Even in the beginning, Adam calls her "Julia" but she tells Jack "Hi.. Jack. I'm Juliet"

Obviously she's another treacherous lying ***&% and Jack's falling for it! Oh noes!

Actually, Adam calls her "Julie". She introduces herself to Jack as Juliet, which is what Ben calls her at the end when he tells her she did good work.

If she was going to use a fake name for herself, do you really think she would have chosen something that was only 1 letter off from her real name? I think it's much more likely that Julie is short for Juliet.

The thing about this show is that very small things can later turn out to be important. Because of this, I have noticed that people sometimes take very small, insignificant things that aren't even relevant to the plot and focus in on them.

I thought of something yesterday that intrigued me a bit.

When it comes to the audience and fans of Lost, I am compelled to come to the conclusion that those who are most obsessive and most fanatical about the show actually enjoy the show less than the casual fan.

The casual fan allows the storyteller to tell his tale. He listens, enjoys the twists and turns, and awaits each installment, wanting to know what happens next. There is some natural tendency to think ahead and try to put the pieces together, but nothing severe.

The fanatic, however, studies each episode as if there were a mid-term the next morning. He compiles clues, reads blogs, theorizes, postulates, dissects even the most innocuous details. Most importantly, he doesn't let the storyteller do his job. He tries to write the story before its told, and when it is told, is almost universally disappointed by the outcome, not because it is a bad story, but because it does not match their theory.

I have to agree with this, I find myself staying away from most lost stuff for fear of spoilers of the next episode.

Did you fellas get that the bear cage that sawyer was in that took the bears "2 hours to figure out" were probly the same polar bears that sawyer killed in the beginning of the first season? Coooool.

So here is my theory. The others really want a Zoo, so they are going to turn Sawyer into a polar bear, Kate into a tiger (that wears a dress), and Jack into a Dolphin.

      Nothing is stopping you from continuing with your testing cadence. If updates are released every 2 weeks instead of 4, and you test once every 4 weeks, the exact same amount of patches will still be available for you in those 4 weeks.       Everyone else has said it. I'm gonna say it - you don't know what you're talking about. I do. I have two laptops. One work, one personal. I have access to two more laptops - both personal. At home I manually update my personal laptop when I see on Neowin that there is an update - I carry on and only apply the updates when I am ready. My work one only updates when my workplace decides to send it - I carry on and only apply the updates (when they actually arrive, which is usually days after the release) when I switch off the laptop at the end of the day as usual. The two other personal laptops only get updated when I get to it which is rarely - the people who own them carry on using them until I get to it and update them. All of the browsers on all laptops are configured to restore the tabs when launched. Google and Microsoft have changed from 6 weeks to 4, and it looks like it's going to move to 2. None of these changes affect how any of these browsers on the laptops are used. Not one jot. My advice to you is stop panicking whenever you see an update. Just carry on with what you're doing. This even benefits you in a way - from your comment you sound like you don't like the changes or the frivolous new features - great - then carry on as before!

      Nice, hope they *finally* fixed the issue with the NTFS driver where the system would completely brick during large file copies using the built in driver. It's been broken for years requiring me to use the older, slower, NTFS-3G FUSE driver.
