Lost - Season Three

Recommended Posts

When Kate was led to her cage the guy stated they 'were pretty rough with her'. Given the lack of physical abuse execpt for her wrists, is it possible she was sexually assaulted? She looked timid and scared and Sawyer looked sympathetic towards her.

What happened to Kate?

I'm pretty sure he was refering to the cuffs, I doubt the show would go down that path. :\

Maybe it was just the base of the cage, but is Evangeline really small? As best that I can tell, the cages are both built the same, but she can only get her head over the bar, while Sawyer can do it easily.

Each character/group/element has a musical theme...I think that's brilliant. Michael Giacchino writes some awesome stuff...the others' theme is awesome--and listen in this last episode as Kate is being taken out of the showers to see Ben...it's the same theme from her Season 1 episode and What Kate Did. It adds an awesome touch to the show.

Also...anyone notice that in the beginning of this past episode Juliet says "here I am thinking that free will still exists on th..."? She's about to say "this island". Definitely wouldn't have been as shocking if they spoiled it right there.

I didn't want to mention it (NOOOOOOOOOO), but yeah, that was the first thing I thought too..

Given what she is wearing (*just* a skimpy dress), it's certainly possible, but what really gave me the idea was the look on her face.

Did anyone watch 24 Season 1?

That's the same look Jack's wife (Terry) had on her's after she was raped... :pinch:

if Desmond is dead, the show ends for me

Thanks for the promos Rappy

Desmond is not dead. He's in the season 3 cast.... we should find out what happen to locke, desmond and eko next week or the week after....

Evy is a 5' 5" Beauty :)

yeah, shes HOT :woot:

i love kates theme, so dramic and suspencefull....

So we now know who the others are.. a bunch of weirdos living their normal lives in the middle of nowhere. I guess they will eventually answer the questions: why are they there, how did they get there and what's they purpose. If all the ragged clothes characters were a set up, who where those people eko and .. jin? michael? saw with the kids and the teddy ber? From what we know, kidnapped people could still be alive living with the others.

In the promo, Ben looked VERY upset when they tell him they've got a boat.

Juliette is hot. I think she will eventually hook up with jack. And jack is really stubborn. I liked the episode, but it was the first 3 minutes that I really enjoyed (where the others lived and the plane breaking in two), in the rest of the episode nothing really happens. More questions with no answers, I hope they dont make it boring like season 2.

i think you're all missing an obvious point.

why is it; at the start of the episode the others are perfctly normal, leading normal lives in a normal wee village.

then all of a sudden the introduction of the losties causes them to seemingly forget all of that and "go semi-tribal"

thats interesting...also i like the ben theory where he rushes out and straight away looks up - he was obviously some big player with Dharma...

I re-watched the episode last night on abc.com. One thing that stuck out to me was how Juliet sounded very sad when Jack mentioned Dharma. It is very clear that something bad happened to that project years ago and the Others are what is left of it. Perhaps they all were trying to lead normal lives, keeping the Dharma stuff in the back of their mind, and then the plane came and all of the old daemons came back.

It is almost like she is resigned to the fact that they would perform the old Dharma tests on these 3 prisoners. Like they got a phone plane full of guinea pigs.

I'm not to sure she likes the fact that the Dharma stuff is priority again. All of the Others seem really into it, knowing that perhaps they have a chance to finish whatever research they started.

The executive producers have said he will return this season. In fact, he's signed on to be a regular cast member now, so I can't imagine it would be flashbacks only, so with that being said, he has to be alive.

It's a setup for the Losties, not a regression coupled with amnesia.

Ok, everyone, enough talking about whether or not it was a good show, let's dive into our crazy theories and hidden clues! :D

Here is a shot, cropped, rotated, sharpened of Jacks crossword puzzle while he sat in his car outside waiting for his wife to come out of the building... Wonder if it is any real clue at all? :iiam:

    • Hello, Christian Maas' XVI32 is a nice (and very small) hex editor. Speaking of hex editors, many years ago a colleague and I who both worked at Tribal Voice managed to edit a copy of the company's PowWow instant messaging client to make it behave better now that all of its lookup servers and other server-side tech was gone.  The program didn't support NAT (RFC-3022 was introduced in January 2001, the same time Tribal Voice was shuttered), but it still worked okay if you manually set up port-forwarding on your router.  The server at http://powwow.jazy.net/ hosts a copy (usual warnings about downloading and running untrusted code from random internet servers apply). I occasionally use some tools like Funduc Software's Search and Replace and Application Mover when I need to make mass-edits to text-based files or move programs with a hard-coded installation directories, respectively.  When I need to figure out the exact LCD panel inside of a laptop, EnTech Taiwan's Monitor Asset Manager is my go-to tool for that purpose. JD Design's website (now hosted on github.io) has a number of interesting freeware and shareware utilities.  I used to use their TouchPro utility to set the file timestamps on software I was mastering to match its version number (e.g., version 3.00 of a program had all of its files dates set to 3:00AM, and so forth). Karenware has a number of interesting freeware utilities, too. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
    • I still use HexChat! Not really as ancient as the 1994 AutoCAD above my post, but I have never found anything better to replace it. Yes we still operate an IRC server https://www.neowin.net/irc/ 😛
    • At work we still have a couple of people that use a version of AutoCAD LT purchased in 1994. This predates Windows 95 and works fine on versions of Windows up to XP. Its long since run in an locked down isolated XP VM, accessible via RDP. I did install LibreCAD for them, however they said it was just too different to get to grips with. In all fairness one of them is now 75 and the other is almost 60.
    • On my music making (non internet) PC Sony Acid Pro 7.0 Adobe Audition 2015 Korg Legacy Collection Windows 7 SP1
    • Anyway to download these versions without being on the Experimental builds?
