Lost - Season Three

Recommended Posts

When the Sawyer got the fish treat for the first time, his keeper or whatever, said good job, it only took the BEARS two day(i don't remember exactly what he said).

Besides, the other cage can't be bigg enough for a polar bear.

I believe this means that he is just making fun of Sawyer for being stupid. As it is a somehow complex mechanism (for an animal), it can also believe that the polar bears were genetically manipulated - would also make sense seing as how they are on a tropical island after all.

Anyone have any ideas what Hurley meant about the Deja Vu moment?

When Hurley bumped into Desmond in the jungle (when he was naked), Desmond mentioned that Locke made a big speech to the Losties saying that he'd rescue Jack, Kate and Sawyer. Hurley was then surprised to witness the exact same speech Desmond had talked about.

Ahhh so that's the deja-vu! I kept wondering what the **** he was talking about :p

How did HURLEY who was a Air Plane REGISTRATIONIST end up on the plane?

AWESOME EPISODE - SO MANY HINTS!!!

Erm it wasn't real, Locke was having a vision, it doesn't mean all those people were in such roles, its how his subconscious interpreted things.

No, everything he saw (until the escalator) was real. We can confirm that from Sun's flashback, it showed the exact argument happening between them.

All that happened was Locke had a trip-out vision. Nothing in there was real, it was meant to allude to certain events happening in the present though, such as Sayid interfering when Jin and Sun were arguing, Charlie and Charlie being happy together with the baby, and Ben being an authority figure over Jack, screening him and checking him out. This wasn't a flashback :)

exactly, and they did say that the flashbacks WILL NOT feature any spechiel affects other then a diferent camera len selection. ( wide lens on the island, shorter lens in flashbacks )

that Dream sequence was prety good though, kudos to the effects team

plus if it were a flashback wouldnt everyone notice locke with no shirt? let alone boone pushing locke in the whell chair?

as for desmond, I think that hatch emposion caused him to get some kind of physic abbelties.locke and eko i'm not quite sure about just yet..... we both know they HAD to be affected in some way, weather its short term, like with locke and him being mute. or long term ( i'm guessing desomd, due to feature epsode info on varous lost sites) cuz with an implosion in the real world it would instenty kill someone. but due to the magic of the island it brought back the threesome but with consquences/ diferances

so hopefuly next week we'll jump back and forth to find out more about them. though i'm having a felling that next week its gonna be about sawyer, we will do the hour long with kate jack and sawyer...

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
