Lost - Season Three

Recommended Posts

No, everything he saw (until the escalator) was real. We can confirm that from Sun's flashback, it showed the exact argument happening between them.

No it wasn't real,

Hurley wasn't a flight attendant, he worked at some chicken place till he won the lottery. It was all lockes subconscious, like Ben checking in sawyer, kate and jack, which mirrors whats happened at the minute, Ben has Sawyer, Kate and Jack locked up. Sun and Jin are still arguing which is why they are arguing in Lockes vision, boone is still dead which is why at the end of his vision Boone is dead, Charlie, Claire and the baby are together in the vision because they are now together on the island which is worth noting because claire didn't have the baby until the plane crashed. Also notice there was no Shannon, Anna Lucia or Libby there, since they are all dead which just proves that its just mirroring the situation on the island at the minute

Is Eko dead?

It seemed when he wouldn't drink water John and Charlie got really scared..... in denial?

It's not that, it's because Locke claimed that Eko was awake and talking to him and said something to him about going to rescue J.K. & S. But when Charlie came back he was clearly still unconscious. Maybe Locke was still tripping a little bit

The whole vision at the airport is very simply explained: everything you saw at the airport was a representation of the characters on the island. Just think about it; Sawyer, Jin and Sun were together, just like at the island. Hurley's obsession with the numbers, which is why he was inputting them on the monitor, Kate and Sawyer together, etc, etc.

Episode 6 Synopsis for "I Do"

Jack makes a decision regarding Ben's offer; Kate feels helpless when it looks like Pickett is going to make good on his threat to kill Sawyer; Locke discovers a hidden message that may help unlock the island's secrets.

Well, it seems JJ is really not planning more than 4 or 5 episodes - ending it on his terms.

If already by S03E04 we'll find out the entire secret to their being on the island (according to the promo)... I can't wait!

I've asked this a million times: any idea when we'll be seeing Monica Dean?

Yeah.. so umm....

WTF happened to Des' clothes?

It just doesn't make sense: they're blown off his body but he is uninjured.

Besides being psychic, did it strike anyone as odd that he was in "la la land" when John was giving his speech? He seemed kinda "off" skipping rocks....

they where ripped off him by the magnetic force which pulled the building into the ground.

Seeing those two 'new' characters on the show were pretty funny. I was wondering who they were.

Nice episode, nice promo's. Looking forward to the next season, however this season is starting to drag on huge. Losing major interest, which is pretty bad considering I used to be a massive fan of it.

Why Wasnt Kate in the Hatch at the time...now thats Ratings right there!!! :p :jump:

It is entirely possible that something or someone not connected to the hatch implosion took Des' clothes off while he was out of it? Just a thought, but it doesn't make sense that the implosion took his clothes off and not Mr. Eko's or Locke's.

I'm guessing he got the brunt of the "implosion" because he was the one that went down to kill the system? That's the only thing I can come up with other than him traveling to the future and back, losing his clothes on the way.

I personally don't think that there was any implosion, though, since that doesn't make sense at all. Besides the three people not being crushed but instead waking up somewhere away from the hatch, there was also a lot of furniture, equipment, and supplies inside the hatch as well as structural support and the bomb-proof lockdown door, for instance. I don't think all of that stuff could've been flattened like a pancake like it was made to appear.

Also, why would the hatch top fly off to another part of the island if everything else in the hatch collapsed into itself?

Locke went to the hatch with charlie: it was a hole in the ground. Even the metal tubing was gone.

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
