Lost - Season Three

I'm guessing he got the brunt of the "implosion" because he was the one that went down to kill the system? That's the only thing I can come up with other than him traveling to the future and back, losing his clothes on the way.

In the Terminator movies only organic matter can travel throguth time, eg no clothes or weapons can be sent back.

Locke went to the hatch with charlie: it was a hole in the ground. Even the metal tubing was gone.

I wanted the hatch to look worse then it looked or at least a part of it surving...does that mean the door entrance to it went as well?...the back door i'm on about :shifty:

Yeah, I saw it. But how did the humans get thrown out of that huge hole if everything was collapsing in on them? I just think (or maybe hope) there was more to it than it simply imploding - especially with what Desmond saw.

well yeah, he was the one that was right there with the fail safe key...

i want to know what would havre happened if he didnt use the key, would it cause anything with in a 1000 miles to be drawn to the island? like it did with the plane?

Well, it seems JJ is really not planning more than 4 or 5 episodes - ending it on his terms.

If already by S03E04 we'll find out the entire secret to their being on the island (according to the promo)... I can't wait!

I've asked this a million times: any idea when we'll be seeing Monica Dean?

Who's JJ?

cheers tech.

welcome....

now i dont think this may be the one where kate "choses" her man. I head we will have a epsode called "I do" and that i think may be the time where she choses...

though i may be worng...

she should chose me, I'll be the best guy she could have, better then jack and sawyer :p.

Who's JJ?

J.J. abruams, he's the creator of LOST

Who's JJ?

JJ Abrams I think he was on about....the writer of Lost

As for the Kate Choosing...the I Do episode is a

Flashback off the island to when she got married so I dont think its island related but it could well be with the fact shes getting married in flashback

Who's JJ?

J.J. Abrams is the mastermind behind Lost. He and Damon (executive producer/writer) are the two who came up with the idea for the show, after the concept was created by Llyod Braun.

The way it actually happened was, Lloyd Braun came up with the concept of a plane crashing on a remote island. At the time, Braun was head of ABC. Eventually Abrams was called in to work on a treatment after countless others had failed. Abrams said he could not do this alone because, at the time, he was working on a lot of other projects, so Damon Lindelof was called into help. So, technically speaking, Braun is the original creator of the concept and Abrams & Lindelof are the masterminds of the show.

I'm not exactly sure when Carlton Cuse came on board. But I do know that the first episode he wrote was Season 1, Episode 13 (which originally aired January 12, 2005). I'm glad he started writing, because in my opinion, the best episodes of Lost are the ones that Abrams, Lindelof, & Cuse write. Of course all of the writers and executive producers are a major hand in the writing of each episode, but it just feels like there's always more to an episode when those three guys write that particular episode.

Anyway, that's the story of how lost was created in a nutshell. If you want a deeper, and much better looks at the history of the show, check out Finding Lost: The Unofficial Guide by Nikki Stafford.

Isn't "Llyod Braun" a character in Seinfeld that George's dad is always going on and on about?

Anyway, more Lost-oriented... A friend and I were talking about why Ben would want Jack. In season 1, when Claire was abducted, we see Ethan in a medical outfit. Now, it could be a costume, but if it wasn't, the Others would most likely be in sore need of a doctor.

Though I spent this past Monday twitching from chat withdrawals, I really do love the new site! My Q: On Lost , is Kate?s ?love confession? distinct from her notorious ?choice?? Or are the two things one and the same?

?Leah Kate

From what I?ve heard, it is one and the same. Though I?m only 99 percent sure on that, given how things have been changing from the script! Don?t forget that I?ll be watching this Wednesday?s Lost with you (at 9 p.m. Pacific Time) on the message boards. And ooh, mama, it?s a crazy episode! Not only do you see the most dramatic exchange between Kate and any man ever on this show (hint: It is a life-or-death love confession), but you can expect the following happenings:

* An animal ?dies?

* An Other dies

* Sawyer has a heart-wrenching storyline

* Sawyer finds his Westmoreland and someone else very close to him

* We find out Juliet and Jack have one very big thing in common

Plus an Episode Still from I think Episode 7...tho not confirmed could be right seeing as its

    • Sandboxie Plus 1.17.8 / Classic 5.72.8 by Razvan Serea Run programs in a sandbox to prevent malware from making permanent changes to your PC. Sandboxie allows you to run your browser, or any other program, so that all changes that result from the usage are kept in a sandbox environment, which can then be deleted later. Sandboxie is a sandbox-based isolation software for 32- and 64-bit Windows NT-based operating systems. It is being developed by David Xanatos since it became open source, before that it was developed by Sophos (which acquired it from Invincea, which acquired it earlier from the original author Ronen Tzur). It creates a sandbox-like isolated operating environment in which applications can be run or installed without permanently modifying the local or mapped drive. An isolated virtual environment allows controlled testing of untrusted programs and web surfing. Sandboxie is available in two flavors Plus and Classic. Both have the same core components, this means they have the same level of security and compatibility. What's different is the user interface the Plus build has a modern Qt based UI which supports all new features that have been added since the project went open source. The Classic build has the old no longer developed MFC based UI, hence it lacks support for modern features, these features can however still be used when manually configured in the Sandboxie.ini. Sandboxie Plus 1.17.8 / Classic 5.72.8 release notes: Added added DisableCustomTitleOpt=[process,][y|n] to allow [#] sandboxie title markers on custom-titlebar windows (Delphi VCL, Qt, Electron) that were previously skipped to prevent DWM repaint CPU loops #5387 Changed updated bundled ImDisk driver to 3.0.2 #5419 Fixed fix Suppress logs for expected non-user SIDs #5422 SbieSvc.exe: SBIE2218/2219 error when run program as administrator #5417 fixed explorer.exe crashes in Application Compartment when Huorong Security is installed #5423 Download: Sandboxie Plus (64-bit) | 23.5 MB (Open Source) Download: Sandboxie Classic (64-bit) | 3.0 MB Links: Sandboxie Website | GitHub | ARM64 | Screenshot Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
    • Hello, Christian Maas' XVI32 is a nice (and very small) hex editor. Speaking of hex editors, many years ago a colleague and I who both worked at Tribal Voice managed to edit a copy of the company's PowWow instant messaging client to make it behave better now that all of its lookup servers and other server-side tech was gone.  The program didn't support NAT (RFC-3022 was introduced in January 2001, the same time Tribal Voice was shuttered), but it still worked okay if you manually set up port-forwarding on your router.  The server at http://powwow.jazy.net/ hosts a copy (usual warnings about downloading and running untrusted code from random internet servers apply). I occasionally use some tools like Funduc Software's Search and Replace and Application Mover when I need to make mass-edits to text-based files or move programs with a hard-coded installation directories, respectively.  When I need to figure out the exact LCD panel inside of a laptop, EnTech Taiwan's Monitor Asset Manager is my go-to tool for that purpose. JD Design's website (now hosted on github.io) has a number of interesting freeware and shareware utilities.  I used to use their TouchPro utility to set the file timestamps on software I was mastering to match its version number (e.g., version 3.00 of a program had all of its files dates set to 3:00AM, and so forth). Karenware has a number of interesting freeware utilities, too. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
    • I still use HexChat! Not really as ancient as the 1994 AutoCAD above my post, but I have never found anything better to replace it. Yes we still operate an IRC server https://www.neowin.net/irc/ 😛
    • At work we still have a couple of people that use a version of AutoCAD LT purchased in 1994. This predates Windows 95 and works fine on versions of Windows up to XP. Its long since run in an locked down isolated XP VM, accessible via RDP. I did install LibreCAD for them, however they said it was just too different to get to grips with. In all fairness one of them is now 75 and the other is almost 60.
