Lost - Season Three

Sorry to be a pain, how do you get the spoiler feature to work? I only ask because it says 404- File not found.
type [ spoiler ] without the spaces and then close it with [/ spoiler ]...

Example:
This is the text that will appear blacked out
Outcome:

This is the text that will appear blacked out

welcome to pregnancy (test?) island... Where you are under the Jacks "protection" and the others are backstabbers.

The script is going to hell, every ep a lil more.

With luck this will end like Life on Mars. No wonder they will copy to them

Then stop watching it. This pregnancy thing was always meant to be there.

With Claire and then all the Children being kidnapped things were quite obvious.

Btw, did Roussoue have her Child on the island?

Anyway, its an awesome episode. I think this season would end up being my favourite.

Episode 16 of season 3 just finished airing.

My thoughts... interesting....

I really hope this is the last season to be honest. I love the show, but it doesn't have anywhere to really go anymore. They need to wrap up the "sickness" the "others" and the "smoke thing in the woods" plot lines in the next 4 episodes. I don't think I'd be interested in a season 4 if they make these plot lines draw out anymore. I don't see how they can attract any new audiences. If they can finish the story by the end of season 3 then I will continue to have a high opinion of the show. If they draw it out I dunno what I will think.

If they go according to plan there would be 5 seasons. If they want to drag it, well then it can be more. But, it definitely wont end in s3 or s4.

Actually, it fits together a little bit more with each episode.

The island punishes the others, think about it.

I thought it was only going to season 4.

"In an address to "Casa del Cinema di Roma" in Italy, Damon Lindelof announced that he and JJ Abrams had initially conceived the LOST story-arc in 4 seasons. If ABC were to continue with Lost for a 5th season, both Lindelof and Abrams would possibly leave."

There was never an official announcement as to how long the show would go on. What Lindelof said was that they had created enough story for only 4 seasons. But they really don't get to decide how long the show runs, that is completely up to ABC. If ABC wanted to cancel it today they could and if they wanted seven seasons (the season with the zombies  ), well they would get seven seasons with or without Lindelof and Abrams. This is their cash cow, they probably don't want to end it with only four seasons, but IMO with the way the ratings look, four seasons is all they're going to get out of it. Otherwise it will end up with one viewer by the time the zombies come around.

I think a lot of these episodes that we call filler episodes are thrown in so that they have enough to go five seasons (if they need too). Take the Nikki & Paulo episode, they obviously didn't plan that from the beginning, and if they did--well I've lost all respect for Lost (pun intended). I have a feeling that in the writing room someone thought of the idea and everyone kind of latched onto it without thinking about how it cheapened Locke and Boone's story. They may have had fun writing that episode and filming it, but I bet in hindsight they wish they wouldn't have even thought of it. I would anyway.

Honestly, with the way things are going (ratings and stuff), I think Season 4 may end it. I could be wrong though.

In a way I hope I am not sitting here in 2 years saying well Season 6 of Lost is crap...so end it at 5 at most or 4 at least if they can answer everything!!!

I just watched that episode, I enjoyed it quite a lot, probably more so because I really fancy Juliet....

Anyway, a lot of questions seemed to be answered in that episode, but even though it was going to be obvious that Juliet was working for the Others, I still think that she has good intentions. I did not really like the way with Juliet, they where like "we are taking you somewhere, but shhhh we are not going to tell you where, it is a surprise".

Anyway, gas masks! Nuke em!

LOST To Drop The Flashbacks - For One Episode!

A highly-placed insider has just set my hinder straight on the batting order for the final episodes of ?Lost? this season.

The bad news? As reported by TV Guide?s Michael Ausiello, the season will indeed not end with a Benjamin Linus flashback two-parter.

The good news? We?ll be getting Ben?s flashbacks even sooner! He?ll be the focus of 3.20, the episode previously believed to be DeGroot-centric. (If you?re thinking Dharma masterminds Karen and Gerald DeGroot will still turn up in that episode, I?d guess you?re thinking right.)

The shocking news? After years of privately and publicly nagging the producers of ?Lost? to cut back on the flashbacks, I can report that 3.19 is slated to be the first-ever flashback-free episode in the series? history.

The absent flashbacks for that episode, says my source, ?won't even be missed.?

?The episode,? he or she adds, ?focuses on one of season one's ?mysteries? - if that's the right word.?

What I am assured is the true flashback order:

3.17 Desmond Hume

3.18 Jin & Sun Kwon

3.19 no flashbacks!

3.20 Benjamin Linus

3.21 Charlie Pace

3.22-23 Jack Shephard

Source: AICN

Well i'm annoyed that is looks its a Jack centric episode, even though Ben's is soon than expected, i would rather have a Ben Finale

Wow, they took out Locke's flashback... that kinda sucks, that is what I was more interested with after he left with the others.

Donno I wanted to a see a Ben finale not a damn Jack one...why do they do this to us!!!...oh well that Dharma episode will be awesome none the less and also that No Flashback...Island Mystery!!! *drools*

Yeah same, little bit annoyed from that but least it will be a fantastic finale. When he say "season 1 mysteries" wonder which ones are those...Monster? Adam and Eve? The Black Rock!!! (They said in a Podcast they will return to it!)

    • Threads scales past half a billion users, brings deeper community and feed controls by Fiza Ali Meta has announced Threads crossing a major milestone of 500 million monthly active users. And, at the heart of this growth sits something simple: communities. From books to basketball, parenting to music, Threads says its rise has been powered by people clustering around shared interests and, in turn, giving the platform its identity. In response, the platform is expanding its Communities feature beyond beta and introducing a set of new tools designed to make participation easier and more engaging. A redesigned Communities Hub will now appear in the main navigation menu, allowing users to jump between groups without leaving their feed. Each community will also receive a distinct Community Icon, giving them clearer visual identity and making them easier to recognise across the platform. Then there’s Community Progress, which is a kind of live gauge showing how close a topic is to becoming a full-fledged community, alongside guidance on how users can contribute to its development. In addition, Meta is also expanding its Community Champions programme, recognising more users who actively contribute to community engagement. And then things go more local; Local Communities is already available in 100 countries, including North America, South America, Asia, and Europe but are now rolling out with native-language tags starting in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. The platform is also expanding Live Chats to more communities in the coming weeks, adding features such as co-hosting and the ability to quote moments directly into users’ feeds. Beyond communities, Meta is tightening the loop between users and their feeds. Earlier this year came "Dear Algo," a feature that lets people tell Threads what they want more or less of. Now it’s being paired with a new tool, "Your Algo." It allows people to adjust how frequently certain topics appear, with options lasting one, three, or seven days. Meta says these preferences remain private and can be managed alongside “Dear Algo” in a unified settings hub. The rollout begins in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Finally, the company says these changes are part of an ongoing effort to refine Threads based on user feedback and that further updates will continue as the platform evolves.
