Jack, Game changers and Sacrifices

Notice this:

"I'm told that when we see the "game-changer," which the show's writing team is calling "the snake in the mailbox," at the end of the May 23 season finale, we will understand why the show cannot go longer than 48 more episodes."

Kristin from Kristin's Office: What are the two things you can tell us about the Lost finale on May 23?

Excellent question, Kristin! Here they are:

1. The game-changer involves Jack and someone else.

2. A fan favorite will sacrifice himself for the good of the rest of the Losties.

Dana in Philadelphia: Please tell me that we get to see some Jack and Juliet nooky before the end of the season! P.S. If Juliet dies, I'm no longer watching the show. P.P.S. That was probably a lie.

HA! Right there with ya! I'm already giddy with anticipation for season-three DVDs of Lost, much less season four. Anyway, I don't know about no nooky, but I do believe Dr. Juliet Burke is sticking around for the foreseeable future. Yay!...Please don't throw garbage at me. I like her.

- Jacob will be as important to the LOST mythology as the emperor is to Star Wars.It is confirmed that Jacob will make his first appearance in "The Man Behind The Curtain"

-Upon being asked if Jacob is someone we know or not,DL refused to answer.duh

-We will be seeing Mrs. Hawking again,but not this season.DL says Ms. Hawking has traveled to the past.

So Ben went to the Dark Side...could'nt resist!!!...but it sounds awesome I am gonna try and avoid reading the episode before it airs this week...usually I read the episode before I watch it to see if its worth staying up for...

Producers of US TV show Lost have confirmed the show will run until 2010.

A further 48 episodes, split into three shorter seasons, will follow the conclusion of the current third series and the show's final episode - Lost's 119th - will air in three years' time.

Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who made setting an end date for the show a condition for staying, have signed new multi-year deals with ABC Television Studio to continue with the series until the end.

ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson said: "In considering the powerful storytelling of Lost, we felt this was the only way to give it a proper creative conclusion.

"I always said that we would allow the series to grow and give viewers the most compelling hour possible.

"And, due to the unique nature of the series, we knew it would require an end date to keep the integrity and strength of the show consistent throughout, and to give the audience the payoff they deserve."

Cuse also said that he hoped more shows would follow suit and declare an end date.

I wonder they will actually show Jacob?

In the last podcast, Cuse and Lindelof only stated that we will "learn" about Jacob, but not mention of actually meeting him or seeing him. However, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lindelof said, "...we meet Jacob ? the elusive, unseen, presumed leader of the Others ? for the first time. And this is a character who is every bit as significant to our universe as the Emperor was to the Star Wars universe ? a character that you didn't get to meet until Return of the Jedi but was referred to all through the preceding films. Jacob is a guy who is going to have a very significant, ongoing sort of story value in our show.1

this page is starting to look like some declassified government document. it's almost all blacked-out now.

Yeah I think its because theres so many spoilers floating around at the moment...I really want to avoid the dharma episode spoilers I want to be surprised for the first time since way back in Season 2...I think my downfall on Lost is the fact I read and follow to many spoilers hence why I have been critical of the program...lol

      The reviews you refer to mean nothing. Where there is no journalism there is no reason to call the gaming media's opinion pieces "reviews". For GP games there is indeed a metric for success - increasing subscriptions. Which turns in revenue. The only circumstance in which subs do not rise when great is being released is a Game Pass system where the company is close to fully saturated with customers in a subscription. However, in that case as the theory goes you spend aplenty in all kind of games - from shady live service cash cows and customer offending agitprop crap in purple colours to robust and entertaining single player games. And keep a solid level of profitability. Ignoring the simply innocuous but mid games MGS has released primarily of the second kind.

      I don't believe them that anyone using threads, at least meaningfully. It's the same thing for Facebook, people just don't engage with Meta platforms like they are thinking. This isn't 2006.
