Lost - Season Three

I think its completely clear that its an a. I don't think its distorted it all, in fact, I'm more interested in getting the letter before the a, which I believe is an L because of the horizontal line that is visible at the bottom of the space.

Your logic that 'they have used philosopher names before, so this is one too' is completely flawed.

Kate Austin - 19th century anarchist and feminist

James Ford - 19th Century American pirate and civic leader (among other James Fords)

Not all their names are references to philosophers.

The newspaper is Obviously Distorted where that letter is. Where that letter Occurs, it's where the page is Bent!

If you bent a newspaper where is there a letter, the result is that letter is Hard to make out!

But Alright, we Shall See... if I have any Common Sense or not when Lost returns.

I say trust Sayid, don't trust Juliet. Why did Locke leave with the 'Others'? Was it an elaborate ploy? I think Locke will go with the 'Others' but come back to help his friends on the beach.

Hugo making Sawyer make nice, as a leader? What a great episode! Kate and Juliet handcuffed together, and she never saw the 'Monster!'? WTF? Was Juliet lying about not knowing about it?

I still don't trust Juliet because she is one of the 'Others'. She made Kate feel guilty, but it could all be part of a master plan. But I trust Jack. I think he is playing chess, while the 'Others' think they are playing checkers! I still want to know about Locke's Dad in the 'Room'.

I can't wait until next week!

Hey think the Graffiti could be Important Easter Eggs? Where is this Bridge at?

I have been thinking about the flash forward and sorry if someone already said this. My theory is that

the flash forwards will continue next season, but each one will happen earlier than the previous one. This will happen until the flash forwards meet the current time line, probably season 4 finale. It will come down to Choice A or B (probably Stay or Leave the island). So for the flash forward Jack choses to leave, but in the season finale he will choose to stay. Seems like it wouldn't be much use unless doing the flash forwards reveals a lot of secrets.

Next week? Do get the episodes late or something where you are stationed? If so, do not read the last 50 posts! :pinch:

Yeah it's been mentioned before, but this is most eloquently put statement :)

I'm still not sold on the Jeremy Bentham theory, but one thing I do find interesting about this guy is that one of "His hobbies included the study of time travel." I am still in the Jo- -antham crowd. In fact, I believe that the first letting is L, so it could be Lantham.

This is really far fetched, but maybe the name has nothing to do with another person, but a location. Lantham is really close to Latham, which is in Albany, NY. Who ever this guy is, the article clearly states he is from New York.

How about this. In the theories section at Lostpedia there's a reference to "the coffin [containing] Michael or Walt. The viewing takes place in what seems to be a predominantly African-American community. Harold Perrineau was in talks to appear in the finale but could not do so thanks to scheduling conflicts (a CBS pilot that did not get picked up). Had he been able to appear, he would have been revealed as the man inside the coffin, but because he wasn't available, the identity was left a mystery. This would also explain why Kate was offended by the suggestion that she would attend the funeral (she still hates him for what he did at the end of Season Two). If Ben and Locke are correct about Naomi's crew being the enemy, Jack may have brought about the Losties' demise by making contact with them. If Michael were instrumental in their subsequent rescue, then Jack may feel both indebted to and resentful of him. This would explain his obvious pain over the news of the death but his denial of being either family or friend to the deceased. The paper says the dead person is from New York. That sounds like Michael. According to our own wiki article on this episode, the Jack's clipped article mentions the deceased leaving behind only one teenaged son. At this 'present' time, would Walt not be at least 13? Also Kate has her reasons for not attending the funeral, because Michael got off the island and didn't send any help, killed Libby and Ana-Lucia and gave up her, Sawyer, Jack and Hurley to the others. After leaving the island, Michael changed his name so that no one would find him in case his murders of Libby and Ana Lucia ever caught up to him. The name he changed to started with a 'J' and ended with 'ntham.'"

At this point, that makes the most sense to me.

I want to see the screen capture that shows any words approximating what the lostpedia article is claiming. The entire portion of the clipping that would state anything about medical tests, suicide, or being survived by a teenage son is either facing away from the camera or obscured by Jack's fingers.

Ah! I knew there was something odd about Kate in the flash forward. She had no freckles!

Beats me how they got that much out of it, but here's what they stated:

"The body of John Lantham of New York was found shortly after 4 am in the 4300 block of Grand Avenue.

Ted Worden, a doorman at the Tower Lofts complex, heard loud noises coming from the victim?s loft.

Concerned for tenants? safety, he entered the loft and found the body hanging from a beam in the living room.

According to Jaime Ortiz, a police spokesman, the incident was deemed a suicide after medical tests. Lantham

is survived by one teenaged son.

Memorial services will be held at the Hoffs-Drawlar Funeral Home tomorrow evening."

But it would make sense for Michael to have changed his name to Jo- Lantham, being from New York when Latham is in Albany. Maybe Michael moved to Albany or Latham after he returned?

Kate looked so different to me that I was doubting that I was actually seeing her even as they were having their conversation. My guess is that she had a lot of makeup on and that covers her freckles.

Does anyone know which of the Lost forums has a member there who draws Lost cartoons? I came across them once but I can't recall which one it was. They were really good drawings and I think they basically addressed theoretical back stories.

That was my first impression, she just had a ton of makeup on and we're not use to seeing her like that.

Now that is one very intriguing theory!

Same here. "Whoa... too much make up! Can't even see her freckles."

Yeah I thought there was less freckles!!!....

As for the air bubble in the LG I honestly think Charlie has died I mean yes he could of swan out that hole but the speed the water was rushing in it would of been hard I think and after all it was destiny especially as the code machine was done by a musician...

Yeah, Charlie is dead, I'm sure of it. Now Mikhail on the other hand, I can see him coming back, shoot they've tried killing the guy twice and he still hasn't died, so what's a grenade under water going to do to him

Yeah he comes well prepared...also its interesting because you know what I don't think that eye in the Arrow Station belongs to Mikhail...after all Mikhails eye is fused over so a glass eye can never be put in there....

How they got that much out of it? Like they have Insider leak or something.

The screenshots we get definite DON'T reveal that much!

I say it is a leak, I agree that the screenshots that I've seen at least don't give that much away.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
