Lost - Season Three

Recommended Posts

It would be nice if the Lost game was open and vast (Like farcry). Would be funny if you had to input the number's into the computer in the hatch. I would intentionally shoot it or ignore the alert.

Yeah or if it tied nicely into Season 4...that would be pretty good.

If the Lost game is decent to good then great. I won't get my hopes up, however. While there have been a small handful of decent movie games, the TV show games have an even worse track record.

I remember when Ubisoft announced that they were doing the TMNT game and everybody thought it would be pretty good because of the publisher. I played through the whole game and it was okay at best. Lost is a lot harder to implement so I'll just sit back and wait to read what the critics have to say when the time comes.

I can't see how they can do a Lost game. Maybe when Lost has completely ended they could do a game but at the moment Lost has so many questions unanswered, i can't see how they can make the game because their would be so many question that are unanswered. I can't see the creators letting Ubisoft answer some plot specific questions.

Ruby in Antwerp, Belgium: Any scoop on Lost?

Executive producer Carlton Cuse and line producer Jean Higgins appeared at the LATV Festival last week, and E! Online spoke with them exclusively, getting answers to your questions. As for the for the future of the show in general, here's what Carlton had to say: "Some people speculated that [going forward] the show will be set in the future and then flashbacks to the present, but no, we aren't changing any of the format of the show. We are just adding the flash forwards as an element. They have made a radio call to a freighter, and there are people on that freighter, and it might be logical to imagine that that storyline will continue... The situation is going to be very intense this year. Charlie wrote on his hand not Penny's boat, and the message he wrote on his hand was very important. It was really funny because [ the clip at Comic-Con showed] Mr. Friendly saying, 'by the time you see this, I'm gonna be dead, but I am telling you it's a shame because whoever is going to come after the Others is going to be a hell of a lot worse than we ever were.' Damon and I were listening to him and sort of nodding our head going, 'That's pretty prophetic.' "

John in Spokane, Washington: There are rumors of a new Lost set being built along the lines of a temple or ruins. Have you heard anything?

According to Ms. Jean Higgins, "I don't expect any [permanent sets] for season four."

Ana in Denmark: What can we expect for Jin and Sun this season?

According to Carlton: "With Jin and Sun there is a very dynamic situation at work. She's pregnant...the fate of her child, the fate of their marriage, all those questions Damon and I will get to and more this season."

Pyotr in Moscow: Good news that Michael is returning to Lost, but what about Walt?

Again, Carlton Cuse, "Walt will be back also. But we're not going to get into any details about that."

Myrto in Athens: Hello from sunshine-filled Greece. Just one Lost question. Are we going to see Jacob again or learn anything about him in the fourth season?

According to Mr. Cuse himself, "Yes, you will see more of Jacob."

Francesca in Italy: Please, anything about Sawyer in Lost season four!

We asked Carlton if he had a favorite pairing in the triangle, and for what it's worth, he said, "I'm just a Sawyer fan..."

(Kristin @ E!)

Gah! Fix that link Rappy!

Edit: Ooooh yeah, him. He played on PB and was nixed. Then he was on those car commercials. Interesting addition. Maybe he'll be playing... Jacob??

Weird not sure what happened there!!!

Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell is reportedly in discussions to join Lost.

TV Guide has reported that Bell is being considered for the role of Charlotte, a twenty-something described as being "precocious, loquacious and funny... a very successful academic who also knows how to handle herself in the real world." The character will be introduced in the second episode of season four, which will air in the US starting in February.

Another hottie in Lost :shifty:

Ok Kristin Bell thing was denied and that rumour is as dead as Mr Eko :)

Carlton Cuse and Damon Lidelof reveal: Who is on that frieghter and are they good or bad is a significant part of next years' show. [...] If Naomi was lying about working for Penny... who says there even is a boat?

You know...I had LOST out of my mind for a while now, and then this thread pops up on the front page. Great...now what am I supposed to do for the next 6 months?

and is anyone NOT on board with the wormhole theory, after seeing the new orientation video with the bunnies and the mention of the Casimir effect?

  • 2 weeks later...
I live in Kalihi, Hawaii. Yesterday, LOST was filming on N King Street by the Discount Store and Tamashiro Market, for those that live in Hawaii.

I was able to spot Josh Halloway (Sawyer). So I'm assuming a Sawyer flashback. OR maybe a flash-forward??

The scene involved a car being chased by two police cars, leading to the first car to jump a ramp and crash.

That's all I was able to see.

Sorry, I wasn't able to record or take pictures.

It's begun people!!!

    • What people who support this position of LibreOffice do not understand is that EuroOffice is not made to appease the open source enthusiasts (I am also one) and evangelists. EuroOffice was made because some European companies wanted independence from Microsoft Office Suite, which is something installable on your computer. This move to independence was pushed by public institutions and governments in Europe, as well. Using a proprietary FORMAT as default, does not make you dependent on MS. The actual program does. A format can be changed with a simple update in the future in a dystopian world where MS would manipulate the format to lock others out. However, using MS Office proprietary format, guarantees that all the current documents used by companies, organizations, institutions, etc, will be compatible with EuroOffice and the suite will have the best chances at adoption, especially by slow moving organizations like governments and the public sector. It is as simple as that. For the same reason, even the UI is incredibly similar to MS Office. For the same reason (adoption) the choice was made to be open source. Not because EU particularly loves open source ideologically, but because it gives the best starting point to create trust in the project and amass developers and contributions to the project quickly, to catch up with proprietary projects like MS Office. I don't understand how people don't realize it.
    • How old is this tip? Seems 15-20 years old? Processor states for the CPU under Windows power options has been a thing for a long, long time. It certainly isn't new or hidden... Also, with laptops it doesn't make any difference what OS you are running, all of them are configured for battery longevity over performance, for obvious reasons.
    • I can't believe Starmer is still there...his party lost so big. He's a stubborn coot, but this is largely unenforceable, so I would imagine he'll be resigning soon. A key here is for parents to buy their kids phones sans Internet access--and set up the Internet at home, where mom and day can, you know, act like parents instead expecting the government to raise their kids.
    • EA launches in-game advertising platform for brands to "connect with audiences" by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The gaming giant Electronic Arts is exploring more ways to inject real-life brands into its games. Announced today as EA Advertising, the new platform is attempting to make it easier for brands to reach out for deals with the company and put their products inside titles like EA Sports FC, Madden, NHL, Skate, or The Sims. EA revealed that its EA Sports side of the company brings in "hundreds of millions of players across console, PC, and mobile" every year. Fan engagement of these titles was also touted as being "extraordinary," with 23,000 NFL seasons worth of games being played in Madden NFL daily, while EA Sports FC sees over a billion matches a day. “Players come to EA’s games and live experiences every day to play, watch, create and connect,” said David Tinson, Chief Experiences Officer at Electronic Arts. “That gives brands a meaningful opportunity to show up in ways that add value and respect the player experience, while maintaining authenticity in the worlds our teams are building. With EA Advertising, we’re helping brands become part of those moments in ways that are relevant and built for players.” Using the new program EA Advertising, brands will be able to inject their products into games in real-time via dynamic placement. EA says partners will have access to everything from stadium signage in sports games and targeted adverts to in-game content custom-made for the brands. These are described as additions designed to "enhance, not disrupt" experiences. "In these interactive gameplay environments, brands become part of the game itself, reflecting how players engage with advertising in real-world contexts," adds the company "Brands can activate across live environments, tailoring placements to meet campaign objectives, and update campaigns with ongoing optimization informed by aggregated engagement insights." Current real-world brand partnerships EA has built into its games include Visa (EA Sports FC and College Football), Lowe's (EA Sports FC, Madden NFL, and College Football), Red Bull (EA SPORTS FC), Xfinity and Peacock (EA SPORTS FC), and Mountain Dew’s (College Football).
