Lost - Season Three

sorry if its not on topic to peoples current talk but... is skyone showing the same episodes as the US now?

Yes. The episode ABC/CTV air on wednesday will be shown on Sky:One on the following Sunday

I actually really like Charlie. He's a caring person (or at least he used to be), and I think he and Claire suit each other.

Then again, Locke is too secretive and cryptic. Check out that peak of "He's Dead" - he says "the island killed him". What should anybody make of that?

Charlie doesn't like being patronised and kept in the dark. Locke likes to keep everyone in the dark and be cryptic. Naturally they don't get along.

Weird thing tho hasn't Charlie seen the Monster when he was with Eko that time?...so if he just the smoke got him he would know

Very good point. People who have seen the smoke monster are: Locke, Eko, Charlie, Jack and Kate, possibly Hurley with Dave?

Eko was killed by the smoke monster this season when he was by himself. When Eko came face to face with the smoke monster while Charlie was around was in season two, somewhere in the middle if I'm not mistaken. Charlie and Hurley have been hanging out when Eko was killed.

Yeah Charlie was up a tree looking for the drug plane...

put two fingers in my butt.. i was shocked from this episode! i was wondering what is happening with the extra long flashback, but it opened up a LOT! and the ending... great way to end the episode!

too all who haven't yet seen it... this one is amazing! pay close attention!

Good to hear :) I think my faith might have been restored in Lost. Hopefully they'll keep this up and I won't end up being a sacrifice the island demands :p

Too bad.

Looks like Charlie will die. Although when is up in the air

Haven't seen the episode, but that is GREAT to hear

dont read the spoilers.. it gives away a lot.. trust me on this one.

too bad you americans dont get it on CFTO (cable 8) like us canadians do :D

Remember when Alex's boyfriend was watching those images on the screen and one of them said "God loves you as he loved Jacob". In the Bible, Benjamin was Jacob's son.

And remember when we first met Juliet and they saw the plane crash, Tom said something like, ""Shepard (jack) wasn't even on Jacob's list!"

Since Ben was born on the island, is his dad Jacob?

It's so obvious about Desmond. I'll tag it until the episode's over...

It's not that he sees the future. He's already lived through this time once, and now, somehow, he's "back" to live through it again. It explains why he's looking around in the jungle before running off to save Claire. He's thinking, "Wait...this is where I was when we heard screaming coming from the beach...if I hurry, I can save her this time". It also explains his first comment to Hurley when he said how Locke made a speech, before Locke had given it. Desmond wasn't quite sure when he was.

I agree.

And it would appear I was just proven right.

You're welcome. :)

you were too fast to answer your own question, but you had the same thought in mind as i first did.

it's not that desmond has lived through these events before, it's that he seen the future back then. when i first watched it all i could think about was "this isn't a flashBACK, but a flashFORWARD". I eventually put 2 and 2 together, and relised it was a flashback, just seeing the future."

keep watching :)

A great episode...probably the best of the Season so far and best for a long time :D

That flashback was great all the hatch references like the 108 on the alarm clock and the microwave it was all coming together at last

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
