Fantasy NHL Hockey League

I picked up David Legwand from waivers (for some unknown reason) and now I have centres up the wazoo.

I might be tempted to move one of my top centres now that I have some depth.

Last night I went -5, with zero points and 2 PIM. Woohoo!

  • 4 weeks later...

bayrider (Mission NW) killed the Admirals playoff hopes in one fell swoop. Obviously he was away or he would have replaced Olie the Goalie with somebody healthy.

It looks like I could play the spoiler between Some Random Losers and BroChaos_Flyers. BroChaos_Flyers should have an easier week but he needs to make up nine points (which would seem unlikely).

Due to the events on Sunday, it looks like the three way tie for 2nd was avoided.

If things stay the same, we could have:

1. Mission NW vs 6. Some Random Losers

2. Fred's IceDragons vs 5. Team Mac

3. CTerry511 vs 4. Xavier

Positions 2, 3, 4 are all up for grabs. Mission NW vs Some Random Losers seems pretty safe though.

I think we just go into the playoffs playing a knockout tournament. There won't be another draft for the playoffs (there wasn't last year in my other league). The 1st and 2nd teams get an automatic bye into the semi finals, leaving 3rd and 6th to battle for a place and 4th and 5th to battle for a place.

7th -12th place teams also play in a knockout tournament called 'consolation'. It works in exactly the same way as the 'championship' playoffs with 7th and 8th place teams getting the bye.

And there is no way im playing in the consolation playoffs dammit!!

I have been spending a lot of time with my gf, so I haven't been keeping up that much this season.

I think there might be a problem with the scoring system this week. In my match against Fred the score is 11-7 to him...

The reality is 7-4 for you. I'm sure they'll get it sorted out by the end of the week. And if not, lucky for me. :D

What a pile of crap! I missed my championship spot because my w-l-t record is 111-107-35 and BroChaos' is 113-109-31. That sucks big time.

You can pretty much blame Dominic Hasek for that. You were beating me all week until Hasek turned in a 6.00 GAA and a .760 save percentage.

For that matter, if your other goalie had gotten a win (Peter Budaj) then you would have been in too.

My problem is that I have lost momentum recently even though Martin Biron was a good pickup for me.

I know. Talk about bad luck, The Minnesota Colorado game went into over time as well, damn that was close. Winning the consolation tourny is now my priority, anything less i will consider a failure.

It almost pains me to say this but im rooting for Fred to beat the BroChaos flyers now :p

i really can't believe i made it...sorry bro. my team had been struggling lately. all i know is that fred beat me 6-4 three weeks ago, so hopefully i have a shot.

    • Thanks for liking it! 😊 That's Arch Linux with Gnome.
    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
