kombolcha Posted September 13, 2006 Share Posted September 13, 2006 i used to wear those small/thin hanes white tees as an undershirt, but they neck messes up to easily and just doesn't feel right any more. so now i've been wearing wife beaters for months now and it's the best thing in the world.. it also makes you feel more buff :laugh: but i always wear white tees or colored tees on top.. linsook Posted September 13, 2006 Share Posted September 13, 2006 knew em as tank tops while growing up. wasnt until recently, i'd say 4-5 years, that the hiphop scene popularized the term wife beater IMO. i wear them as an undershirt to button ups, but more often than not, thin white t's as an undershirt.
