^ i wouldn't go that far. i just thought he must be in a grumpy mood. its true apple junkies can be quite pretentious. gfm made a good point in a slighlty grumpy manner.... i think it was on a monday morning so who can blame the poor guy. sorry for any offence gfm.

he must be one of those who thinks they are called MACS, not Macs.

narrow minded PC person, "if it ain't Windows, I don't want nuttin to do with it"

Call me grumpy, but i dont think that Mac users should have their own "Mac Only" workstation threads, and while we cant post our pc workstations there, they however, can post their Mac workstations here. We should call this thread "PC Workstation Thread"

And what about the people who have both??

Then they can post in both threads. :) I need more pics Howard! Sweet setup ya' got there.

ok well hang on while i take a picture of part of my desk, but very carefully make sure that i dont get my ipod or anything in the picture, because god forbid i post a picture of something apple in a thread called Post your Workstations.

im afraid not! im 16 and even if i had my own car i still couldnt afford the poewr inverter/GPS system!!! plus theres sumin wrng the fan on it is too loud and it sometimes over heats!!! had the problem since before the "project" ill need a new fan soon :( but its better to have it on display than have it in a cupboard gathering dust!

-some of them projects i saw for the picture frame look good but they look far too complex i dont have time to be coding linux!!! and i dont havce a wireless server in my house nor do i have any free "patch" cables... i think ill jus leave it how it is... on the wall to watcg movies... now i jus need tro upgrade its speakers! they are now hidden behind the screen :(

You dont need to use linux or a network, you can use windows if you want and store the pictures locally on the laptop.

    • Apple are scared of their customers! They have built a brand over the years of "it just works out of the box", but that slows innovation. Samsung's master stroke was the Galaxy Ultra: "Let's cram everything into one handset, make it so stupid only real nerds will love it, some of the features will work, some won't, but the audience will have such a high tolerance they won't care". Apple has no such device and so they are constantly worrying these days about the fallout of creating a new experience that customers might not like. I know it is often cited the reason they don't build a touchscreen Mac Book is they don't want to cannibalise the the iPad market, but I think it's equally cold feet after the criticism Microsoft receive trying to make a touch compatible desktop OS

    • So, an article that has nothing to do with Windows 11, still gets Windows 11 in the title and a build number as the picture? Dell have a buggy build of Support Assist HP have UEFI settings that need unlocking for the secureboot cert upgrade to take place.
    • What I can't seem to understand is that Google are paying SpaceX? Surely it would be the other way round, with SpaceX needing Google's datacenters etc.? Oh well, this level of money and power is way outside of my comprehension at the best of times.
