second that! mrk, your case is super tidy! mine is an absolute mess.

Ehh what the heck, I had a free afternoon and if someone says it's not tidy then something must be done :p

Maybe now he will like it

Tidied up the front empty bay area via cable ties and rerouting

Tidied up the PSU cable array

pc_case_cables_2.jpg

Rerouted the main cables and tied them to the chasis, rerouted the DVD drives UV cable too so it's not poking out the middle

pc_case_cables_3.jpg

Tied down the UV lights switch and tidied the cabling to it

pc_case_cables_4.jpg

Routing for the front 120mm and also power input for the UV routed round the other side so they cannot be seen (same as before but better management now)

Look what turned up in the mail today... :D

It was time for our kit in IT to be replaced, so instead of the boring Optiplex towers that we had (which are very good, don't get me wrong), I thought seeing as our Account Manager at Dell was being promoted and said she could give us a brilliant deal (which she did btw) I'd get us some decent machines.

Theres 3 of them :D

Side by side with the new Optiplex 745's that the users get ;)

The screen that goes with it. I couldn't justify the 30" screen so plumped for the 24". A compromise.

My friends dad owns a big company and they thought alot of stuff was broken and said we could go through it. Well we went through about 40-60 pc's and found 6 working 15in LCD's and about 12 80GB Hitachi Drives. It was pretty sweet lol

Ye true its quite alot more for 6" none the less i bet it is a great set up.

Certainly is. Vista RC2 looks lovely on it. However, the Nvidia beta drivers are rubbish for DOD:S (we play at lunchtime). If in full screen then theres tearing, so I have to lower the res and run in a window.

I've got 2 additional 19" monitors either side of the big screen. I'll take a decent shot of it all tomorrow :)

    • "...a low price of just $340..." I don't think it means what you think it means.
    • This Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 32GB RAM with RGB is a great deal for limited time by Sayan Sen Memory prices have been through the roof for a while, though it seems like things might finally be getting better. • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.
    • It's a local account with the ability to reset a password at a very base level. I really don't get the issue that gets whipped up around it But you do you
