Bull Rancor? What the hell are you talking about?

Mathachew, sure some occasional casual is great...but LEGO and Kung Fu Panda? I'd play those with kids, and even then not on my account!

The Bull Rancor/Maris Brood are the boss to the Imperial Felucia level in Force Unleashed. Well known to be one of the toughest/cheapest boss fights in quite some time on Sith Master difficulty. TBH I don't know if I ever would have beaten it if it didn't glitch. I was *this* close to giving up for good and snapping the damned disk in half, lol.

I like the LEGO series, so why not? Not so sure about Kung Fu Panda, but for $10 (including shipping), it's hard to not get it. $10 for LEGO Indiana Jones seems fair, so Kung Fu Panda is just a little extra :D

Besides, I can play these with my daughter in my lap, as opposed to Gears 2, Bioshock, Oblivion, Fallout 3.... need I go on? :p

I know how you feel. That fight was awful on Sith Master, and I too had to glitch it.

heh heh i love it when bosses get stuck like that, it's such a lucky break. difficult games are the bane of my gaming enjoyment. i hate it when developers make it clear they playtested with all cheats turned on!

there you go mathachew, use you little girl as an excuse

The last few bosses on Sith Master were infuriating. Not only because of the actual difficulty, but because the damned targeting system is totally FUBAR. I seriously haven't been that mad and frustrated at a game in a looooong time.

BTW I'm going to see if I can trade in Bionic Commando for Ghostbusters tomorrow. I LOVED those movies in the 80's, so if it's even done reasonably well (and by most reviews, it is) I'll love it.

(Y) You should definitely try that. the game is great if you love the movies. :)

I love the movies, couldn't get into the game. I thought I would enjoy just for the voice acting by murray, akroyd and ramis but I just don't like it. It's kinda dull, the voice acting is shockingly weak (especially Bill Murray's) and it's just stupid hard. I might try playing it on easy (for SHAME!!) so I don't get killed by any more candlesticks.

Looks like I'm gonna miss my goal of 50K by July by a mere 1400. Girlfriend's taking away all my game hours, but I'll live.

Got it today anyway. I'm into RE5 right now, but I'll probably give it a quick go tonight.

Speaking of RE5, why does it get so much flak? I'm quite enjoying it. Sure, it's not as scary as other RE's, but it's still pretty creepy.

congrats. jianbing RE5 got great reviews, what flak?

rookas, don't spoil it for me, still waiting to play Ghostbusters! And someone add underoath, i mean drown the city...

People seem to complain a lot that it is just an action game now and not scary. Also that the partner is annoying. I guess it may be a bit different for RE purists, but it's fun as hell, so who cares?

Also, Ghostbusters is awesome so far!! It starts a little slow, but it really picks up. I've heard complaints that the acting sucks, but I've found it very good. The story is great too. Would have made a good movie. In fact, it really feels like you're "playing" one of the movies. It's really well written and it's really funny too. Also, most of the achievements are pretty easy, so you've got to like that  .

how you even put up with that trash is beyond me...and you know i'm usually very mild mannered when it comes to critiquing games (spl?)

It wasn't that bad. Besides, one day of playing for 620 isn't all bad :D . I wasn't going to get it, but a friend badgered me into it so we could play multiplayer together. The chump hasn't even picked it up himself yet though.

I've got to cool it on games for a bit. I've spent waaaaay too much on them this past month. Luckily there are a couple of games that I can borrow from friends that I haven't played yet. I'll need them too as I've got the next couple of weeks off work, so I plan on doing even more gaming and catching up on things (if that's even possible :p ).

you deserve a medal for persevering like that...and it's a short push to 20K for you my friend, i want to see you there by the end of the weekend.

Ha!! I think I need to pick up a couple more games for that to happen. I mean, I could squeeze out a few more achivements from my existing games, but I usually get all the ones I feel are worth getting in my first playthrough. Plus it's the 1 year anniversary of my dad passing away tomorrow, so I don't think I'll be doing much gaming this weekend. Time with family, ect...

of course, i understand. and i'm sorry about your dad, i think you did tell us back when it happened...

Thanks Audio.

Borrowed Red Faction and Prototype from my cousin last night. Played RF for about 30 mins this morning and it seems like total garbage. I don't know if it's worth playing for points or not :pinch: . I'll give Prototype a go later today. I hope it's a hell of a lot better than RF :p .

    • KillerPDF 1.4.2 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.4.2 changelog: What's new PDF form filling. Interactive PDF forms now render their fields (text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons) as live controls. Fill them in directly and save — field values are written back into the PDF. PDF outline (bookmark) navigation. A new OUTLINES tab in the sidebar displays the document's bookmark tree. Click any entry to jump to that page. The sidebar auto-fits its width to the longest entry on open and can be dragged wider; switching back to PAGES snaps to the pages-mode width. Fixed Page rotation no longer reverts after saving. Rotations applied via the sidebar context menu now persist correctly through the save pipeline. Copied text words were out of order on PDFs where glyphs are stored in non-reading order (Issue #66). Text extraction now sorts words by position and uses a dynamic line-grouping threshold so both drag-select and Select All produce correctly ordered output. PDFs with malformed or non-standard XRef tables now open in read-only mode instead of showing "Invalid entry in XRef table" and failing entirely. • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.
    • It's a local account with the ability to reset a password at a very base level. I really don't get the issue that gets whipped up around it But you do you
