with that panda on your gamertag you should be the first one to take the podium..."hi, my name is Mathachew and i played Kung Fu Panda" :jump:

LOL, am I the only one here who played King Kong for a quick and easy 1000?

A resounding no: http://www.mygamercard.net/clboard.php?id=...mp;x=97&y=6

Even worse: http://www.mygamercard.net/clboard.php?id=...p;x=44&y=11 (I'm on the list)

welcome back at any rate, jonny. and congratulations on the 20K jianbing, it's about time!

i know COD4 can be poison to gamerscores...it's very addictive. but i'm somewhat tired of the cheating and totally biased game mechanics. every match dominated by one 5:1 player...that gets old after a while.

I want to note I'm about to hit that beautiful 4,000GS mark. I'm very happy to announce it should happen within the next 48 hours due to Gears of War 2 campaign and I still haven't been added to the leaderboard. :(

Cheating? I've never seen any cheating on COD4?!?!?

Working my way through COD WAW on veteran. It's pretty brutal. Every checkpoint is hard fought.

there's quite a lot of aimboting and wallhacking going on in COD4 on the 360, but by no means is that the majority of people. the less said about it the better - you don't want to dignify those juvenile idiots.

i agree with you on WaW, the single player was better and longer than COD4, but the MP is pretty bad. it's even more skewed than COD4, which is already quite annoying with its random favoring of certain connection types and poor hit detection. it kills me that one game i'm 24:5, then the next match playing with exactly the same people it's like i'm shooting blanks, end at 5:9 or something, plus it's the same guy shooting me time and again - typically near spawn points. for the ultimate online shooter, i still say DF2.

Drown the City (hard getting used to calling you that...), you need to PM PabUK. he's probably on his "hols", you know how those lazy Europeans get around summer time... :fun:

That's news to me. I didn't think cheating was possible on 360. That's one of the things I loved about it over PC. Lame.

I preferred COD4's single to WAW. The story was just better, and I felt the levels/gameplay was more varied. WAW was still very good though.

Your description of COD4 pretty much describes every online shooter ever made :p

I just beat WAW on veteran. Got a cool 800+ points from it. It was stupid hard, but an awesome challenge. I was swearing and yelling at it every few minutes, lol.

hats off to you for doing that, on veteran those games are just silly hard. by the 100th grenade tossed my way, which was like five minutes into the campaign, i was "**** it".

btw i reiterate that my introduction to serious online FPSing was DF2, the first shooter i really got into. let me tell you they broke the mold after that one, they haven't made them like that. however, come to think of it Bad Company was pretty well balanced, more so than the COD games.

No freaking way did you say that. CoD4 had one of the best FPS single player campaigns I've ever played. It was epic, emotional, powerful and intense as hell. W@W was just the same recycled BS as every other WWII game ever made.

    • Thanks, Sony and Nintendo, you effectively killed platform-agnostic gaming. Long gone are the days when you could wish to play a specific game on whatever platform you were. Now, you have to buy the hardware just to play that single game. What, you're only interested in THAT game and nothing more? Bad luck, suck it and buy our console.
    • The AI data centers need it more than us so...let them gobble it all up at that price!
    • "CRAZIER than ever!" Crazy Taxi: World Tour is officially coming soon by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Sega announced it is working on bringing back some of its classic franchises in 2023, and while it has taken some time, the company finally gave fans a look at one of these new projects at the Xbox Games Showcase today, which turned out to be a brand-new Crazy Taxi entry. Watch the debut trailer above, which has snippets of gameplay in between the cinematic bits while blasting a track from The Offspring. Dubbed Crazy Taxi World Tour, this installment is aptly being described as being "CRAZIER than ever!" The director behind the original, Kenji Kanno, is helming this new entry as well, which will come with access to five new cities to drive in, competitive multiplayer modes, a vehicle customization system, and more. Axel is returning as a protagonist as well, but this time a mystery driver is offering him the opportunity to take his adventures to the streets in other countries. This will involve Axel chasing down masked villains that have somehow stolen his taxi, which means even more extreme missions and challenges to overcome. "From transporting passengers at top speed to tackling unique side missions and odd jobs across dynamic maps, there are countless ways to drive crazy and rake in big money," says Sega about this new installment after over 20 years. "Perform outrageous drifts, catch insane air, and drive at crazy speeds across five different cities as you work to deliver passengers and complete a variety of missions and challenges." The studio has even confirmed an in-game Arcade Mode that players will be able to access containing the original games for plenty of nostalgic action. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is currently slated to release sometime in 2027 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
    • This and Crazy Taxi are the two games that interested me the most from this showcase.
