Hardly. It represents the character he portrayed in the movie. You can't play a semantics game here.

... OK, well I have no idea idea what your talking about, but my point was an action figure holding a rocket launcher is bad way to immortalize someone.

Payed off perhaps. Can't imagine a family thinking a toy holding a rocket launcher would be a suitable way to honour their son.

It's not an action figure of Heath Ledger with a rocket launcher. It's the Joker, whom Heath Ledger plays in the movie. The family supports it, there is nothing wrong with it. And I very much doubt the family were paid off.

Exactly. Being paid off is just a ridiculous notion at the very least.

I said they could have been payed off if they had NOT agreed agree to the doll. The last thing the film makers would have wanted would be for the family to be in an uproar over it.

Batman fans have been wondering if the Joker's sidekick Dr. Harleen Quinzel aka Harley Quinn would ever be making an appearance, especially since the Dark Knight is the Joker's big comeback. No one has said anything about Harley Quinn being in any of the films, but Sarah Jayne Dunn's management company spilled the beans!

No double sided tie?! Glad to see they aren't going to Tommy Lee Jones style. If thats true to the style of the character that is.

Yea, Tommy Lee Jones was a joke, it never looked like half his face was gone! I always thought the typical Two-Face style was a bit silly with a perfectly straight scarline down his face, and all his clothes double sided. From what we've seen in that action figure it looks great, and realistic, just as Nolan likes it.

ps: I think some comments here need to be cleaned.

Here's a preview of Batman: Gotham Knights, which is a six story animated DVD, each story is also done in a different artistic style. I think it looks pretty good! It's to be released the same month as The Dark Knight. I think the stories also take place before the film.

Whoa, I can't wait for that. :D

Ever since Heath Ledger's death last month, there has been much speculation in the entertainment press about how Warner Bros. might alter its marketing for The Dark Knight. Bat-fans will reportedly get their first hint of this new approach next month.

According to DarkHorizons.com, the next trailer for The Dark Knight is slated to debut with Warners' prehistoric epic 10,000 B.C., which opens March 7th.

The site adds that this new trailer, unlike the Joker-heavy first one, will feature more of Christian Bale and Aaron Eckhart as Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent, respectively. It was previously reported that Warners had always intended on building the initial marketing phase for The Dark Knight around the Joker before switching the focus to Dent.

Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan has said that while the Joker is an important character in the film, the main story arc belongs to District Attorney Harvey Dent. In the comics, Dent is doomed to become the villainous Two-Face.

^ I really hope that means Nolan will direct a 3rd sequel. I remember reading somewhere that he didn't want to do it anymore as its taken up so many years of his life already. Whoever inevitably takes over, I hope they don't ruin what he started.

Didn't Sam Raimi said there will never be a Venom in his Spider-man movies. Looks like directors are able to lie.

I think if Christopher Nolan did not direct the 3rd film, it'd probably tank like the ones Joel Shumacher did. Nolan's vision is the reason the first film was so successful. We need to stick with the dark theme. I can't think of any other director that could do a serious batman movie. Maybe Sam Raimi, but i dunno after seeing Spiderman 3.
