New trailer was shown at ComicCon yesterday.

Warner Bros. Pictures debuted the new trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight at the New York Comic-Con on Saturday. The trailer is expected to hit theaters in a couple of weeks, presumably with Iron Man, but the viral campaign might allows fans to see it earlier than that online. Stay tuned!

New Trailer in 2 Weeks!

One of the biggest events at this year's New York Comic Con was the bowing of the new trailer for The Dark Knight. Reaction to the clip was apparently cacophonous to say the least (oh, we know, who'd have thought?) and there was word that the trailer will be seen by the general public when Iron Man opens.

If you can't wait until then, you can read a description of the trailer at JoBlo here and make up the pictures in your head, or use finger puppets, if you have some to hand.

New Viral Campaign

A new campaign has begun on the Dark Knight viral rollercoaster. A short while ago, we received an email from 'Jim Gordon', which said:

"OK friend, you?re up to bat now. You have yourself a new assignment: Operation Slipknot."

That then takes you through to this website, where you are encouraged to help track down a number of fugitives by convincing the Gotham Intercontinental Hotel ? website here ? to send you a package intended for the dobadders. We called the number but couldn't access it outside America.

We expect this campaign will lead to the release of the new trailer, recently premiered an New York ComicCon.

So, in total, the items in the package were:

* A letter from Joseph Candoloro

* A cell phone & charger

* An itinerary for a flight to various cities depending on the package

* A fake ID

* A bond from Wayne Industries worth between $5,000 and $25,000, depending on the package

* A translation dictionary, depending on where the destination city was, with a Joker card placed inside. [Except for the Youtube user, who had a ticket to Russia and got a German dictionary. Purposeful or an accident?]

[Note I didn't get this!]

eh, I don't see how playing a role can get anyone to flip

I need to pick you up on this.

A number of actors are called "method actors". Part of this school of acting is to become the character. Not to play it, not to pretend, but to BE that character for a time. Some do this to a lesser degree, some to a greater. The get into the mindset, let it become THEIR mindset, and so on.

A notable example is Val Kilmer. Possibly more than any actor of this generation. He is known throughout the industry for not coming out of character at all when a film is still in the filming stages. Be it on-set or off-set, he keeps the attitude, mannerisms and persona of his character. He's also kknow for being a complete ******* to work with, but many attribute this to him dealing with people the same way his character does.

Playing a role such as the Joker (in his dark persona) would be hugely demanding. He is not just evil, but has a twisted mindset and psychotic characteristics that would take a lot out of any actor. Ledger was supposedly using method acting techniques to play the role, and we have since learned that he was recommended to seek help because this was taking it's toll on him. He turned to painkillers, anti-depressants and sleeping pills - 3 that really don't mix well anyhow (but a common cocktail notheless). Reports are that an unintentional overdose killed him.

Now you can question this all you want. But at the end of the day, your claims show no understanding of acting as a profession, method acting as a technique, so really - they hold no weight!

Yea, I guess your right. Actors can get overly involved in there roles. I mean, I have heard of method acting but have no knowledge of acting or how to act, never been on a film set or in a play or anything. I think I, myself, just couldn't get sucked into a role myself, But then again I'd probably be a rubbish actor. :pinch:

New Viral Update

WhySoSerious.com/ItsAllPartofthePlan has been updated!

You can click on the picture of each president to clearly display the name of a city and you get a countdown clock (similar to a doomsday style countdown for a bomb timer, etc.)

The information for each president portrait is:

Boston - Benjamin Franklin ($100 bill)

Los Angeles - Dwight D Eisenhower ($1 coin, issued from 1971 - 1978)

Philadelphia - Thomas Jefferson ($2 bill;nickel)

Chicago - Andrew Jackson ($20 bill)

Dallas - Grover Cleveland ($1000 bill)

Seattle - James Madison ($5000 bill)

New York - Abraham Lincoln ($5 bill; penny)

Kansas City - George Washington $1 bill; quarter)

Toronto - John F Kennedy (Half dollar coin)

San Francisco - Ulysses Grant ($50 bill)

London - Woodrow Wilson ($100,000 bill)

Sao Paulo - Alexander Hamilton ($10 bill

This is the currency info each President is linked to, so something may be going down at a bank, etc. when the countdown expires, maybe a location or other instructions will be posted!

The countdowns expire on Monday, April 28th and the countdown pages read:

Gather with 300 of your closest friends at this exact spot on April 28th.

You'll need to be in contact with a partner-in-crime who has online access to relay your instructions once you're there. These instructions will give you the TRAIL to follow, but be sure to look both ways when crossing the street; we wouldn't want you to make an unscheduled visit to the ER now, would we?

Put on a smile and plan to spend about an hour or so bonding with your fellow clowns.

Check back here often for updates or changes.

Did you catch that? TRAIL and ER... yeah, we thought you'd like that!

    • WordArt was cool. We now have color fonts as a substitute although Word only supports COLRv0 and COLRv1 (Fraud OS 11 only). The OpenType SVG color font format needs to be supported by Office. Adobe's apps support it
    • i backup my files, incl keepass to my proton drive using Syncback which i paid for (thanks Warwagon!). they have a free version but i can't remember what it does and doesn't do anymore. anyways, it's really, really simple and easy to use. i also periodically keep backups of my keepass onsite especially when i've changed or added a password that is important to me. if you don't wanna spend time on the syncthing setup, get syncback. haha i even got my dad to use it for his backups to usb and he doesn't even need my help!!! (thank god!)
