Heath Ledger DESERVES an Oscar.

He put his 'Soul' into the Role of Joker, and made Joker SO AWESOME.

If he don't get nominated, the Oscar people are Bunch of Bigots that just HATE comic/action/sci-fi movies.

He will get nominated for sure but if he wins is a different thing, there maybe other people who have done other amazing roles.

I went to see it today. It was very good! So much better than "Begins" if you ask me. The first one kind of bore me a little bit, i know some of you might disagree but this one kept me interested the whole time and the story is so complex. It doesn't end when or how you think it will either.

This movie is obviously based on the original movie not only in plot but also when it comes to the scenes........Its good to base something on something that was approved and loved by the entire world.....However i wouldnt call it an original Batman but a rather Updated version of the original movie with better effects and different cast.

Still it is on par with the original film but i can never place any Batman movie above the First one.

I know where you're coming from. Burton's 89 Batman will always have it's place in many of our hearts. I mean, it was literally the first Batman movie that was dark & had a lot of style to it. And how can you forget Nicholson & Keaton's performance.

You can't even really compare this new Dark Knight series with the Burton originals or the other ****ty ones that followed.

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight clearly have their roots in Batman: Year One, Batman: The Man Who Falls, and Batman: The Long Halloween.

The Man Who Falls was directly implemented into Batman Begins. That is where they came up with his childhood and his travels throughout the world and how he learned his training from Ra's.

Year One is where they get Carmine Falcone and the background and story of Jim Gordon and how they lead up to the Joker in The Dark Knight.

The Long Halloween basically inspires Harvey Dent and his formation into Two-Face.

Question: what was everyone's reaction to the "magic trick" scene? The entire theater I went to was cracking up... that had to be one of the funniest moments ever in a serious action movie (IMO, of course).

I wouldn't have really thought it was funnier than it was badass.

I was more to "WHOA!!" than "LMAO!". I think that scene was shocking and funny in equal measures.

We all laughted but I think it was more of a catarthic reaction than a "this is fun" laugh.

^ Well of course, but still hilarious nonetheless :) Me and my friend looked at each other and just said "badass!" and cracked up.

Indeed that was the best way to introduce the character fully. That set the tone of th character development for the entire movie.

I still cant believe how good it was.
