There's many plot holes that I could think of.

A) If people, especially the crimelords wanted to know who Batman really is. They could all at once follow the tumbler wherever it goes. Batman can't stealth from them every night. Bad guys could set up a decoy scenario & follow the tumbler/Batman back to his place. Shoot a lowjack onto it or something.

B) Joker must be one hell of a genius. Coming up with so many clever plots in such a short period of time.

C) The night club scene. All those bad guys & none of them had a gun on them? lol

D) I still don't believe why Dent couldn't kill the Joker right there in the hospital. I mean, the Joker was the one who killed his girl.

Of course these are little nitpicks to a superior movie.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2810287/ that is the guy people are confusing cillian murphy for

good call..thats looks like who i was thinking of.

just wondering how did you find him? happen to know who he was or did you click and look at every picture of the smaller roles? :)

too things that are bugging me about the intro bank robbery:

how did the guys who picked up the Joker (as well as the rest of the city) not recognize him standing on the corner. He didn't put on the mask til he got right in front of the car door.

what was the Joker doing that whole time during the robbery when the other guys were getting organized? its hard to tell...was he just tying people up and putting grenades in their hands? he was the only one of the 3 front door clowns that came in with a bag...i'm guessing it was just that stuff

good thing Mahone missed him with that shotgun shot....or else tthe rest of the movie would have been pretty lame smile.gif

I also liked how the Joker told the other clown that he was out of shells so he wouldnt have to risk his life.

I really don't think that was The Joker standing on the corner. Doesn't look like that guy was wearing a purple suit lol. Remember, The Joker was driving the bus, he wasn't in there with the other guys.

A.) They have a hard enough time knowing wth he's going to be at, at any given moment. Also, the Tumbler "does" have a stealth mode (watch the chase scene from Batman Begins again). Lights shut off (except for interior but you can't see inside it anyway), it's flat black, made nearly NO noise at all, it wouldn't be hard for Batman to lose them, and I think he's smart enough to know when someone is following him. The Tumbler is pretty high tech.

B.) It was all part of his plan from the beginning, and in the movie, I don't think it was really a "short period of time," just that we don't ever find out how much time has actually passed, but you can tell it was quite a bit with everything that actually happened.

C.) Have you ever been to a night club? Doesn't look like any of them owned it, and there's no guns allowed in clubs. Also, not good for business if one of your thugs start letting off rounds into the crowd.

D.) Pay attention to the scene. More importantly, pay attention to what was "said" during that scene. The Joker did not kidnap either of them. However, he was most likely responsible for it. But he even said he was locked up at the police station when all of that happened, and he really didn't have a reason to lie. Also, if you paid attention to the scene, you could see he kept his finger on the hammer of the revolver almost the entire time, he wasn't going to "let" Dent kill him lol.

The Joker was the one who said "The boss told me to kill the bus driver." and then immediately killed the bus driver after that.

Hmm, really? Because I was under the impression that the Joker is someone who is utterly incapable of being afraid of death. He actually liked the idea of flipping a coin to decide one's fate.

The biggest problem with the movie is that Dent's transformation to Two-Face wasn't very convincing. The hospital scene with the Joker was great, but it was more of a precursor. After he escapes the hospital. There should have been a scene showing him contemplating about the coin alone, or maybe showing Dent seeing a petty criminal and realizing as much as he could do for Gotham as a DA crime wont cease to exist. And he becomes a upholder of justice in his warped way. Or something to that effect that signals the start of Two-Face. As it is it's just aint very convincing. Also, while I really liked the concept art for Two-face, I found his big, bulging eye too distracting.

Anyway, movie was still awesome. Gotta watch it a second time this week. My favourite scene has to be when the Joker exits the hospital - partly because of his reactions but mainly because how the explosion was shot. Was this an IMAX scene? because even on the 35mm print I really felt I was standing right beside the hospital while each individual room was being blown up. Yeah instead of the usual hollywood boom where it just goes up in a huge ball of flame we get to see the hospital disintegrating in detail right before us. And yes after that we also get the whole ball of flame part. Awesome!

A) You Underestimate the Batman! He is MORE intelligent than these Criminal Punks (Except maybe that Joker and other Superheroes, of course)

Abilities:

Genius-level intelligence

Master detective

Master escapologist

Peak human physical condition

Martial arts master

Access to high tech equipment

Extensive monetary resources

B) Joker IS also Highly Intelligent! "It's ALL Part of A Plan!" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joker_%28comics%29

Abilities:

Highly intelligent

Skilled chemist

Access to Joker venom and a variety of gadgets

Experience in hand to hand combat

C) What the hell does that matter, they have guns or not? Don't you see, Batman is Superior against those with Guns (SWAT, Hong Kong Police, Gotham Police)

D) DID you even Watch the movie? That's like the whole point of the movie.

Nah, I think the guy in the corner WAS the Joker. Unless, that mask was given to another robber.

Yeah, it's on Yahoo News as well. It says The Dark Knight has set the record with $155.34 Million it's opening weekend. However, this is what I don't understand. Where I'm at it's currently 12:33pm on a Sunday morning. How the hell do they know how much money the movie has made when theaters are just now opening for the day? Shouldn't they wait until sometime on Monday before they go and say how much the movie has made? Seems like jumping the gun a little bit.

I was wondering the same thing.

Well it made $60M on Friday. It probably did more than that yesterday - it wouldn't take much today to top the record, and they would be able to count all presale tickets already.

It was the Joker on the corner, he put the mask on as the car pulled up, and they likely weren't staring at his face, besides his head was down and there wasn't exactly a lot of people walking around him to be noticed.

Also Joker never killed Dent's girl, remember throughout the movie got other mob bosses' henchman to work for him, he likely called the shots but he tricked them by reversing their locations. Besides the part that got through to Dent at the hospital scene was how Joker was telling him it was one of the cops who tipped them off on where she and Dent was. It was then he believed the Joker wasn't responsible. Also his coin was a great addition, how it was double faced so he just was toying with people, then how it got burned and became his tool for deciding, the same way Joker made them decide who to save. I also liked how they made him Two-Face. Putting his face in acid would have been cool to see but technically should have killed him, the fire was a good way to have him survive it. I thought the burnt suit was a little silly though. Change your clothes? :)

Yeah, the 6 1/2min prologue is still up on Game Trailers: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/147082.html

I just watched it again, and figured out the debate about the beginning of the movie. I agree with what Xero said. That's exactly what I was thinking too.

Watching that prologue again though, just made me want to see the movie again even more lol. I can't wait til it's out on Blu-Ray. This and Iron Man will be the 2 movies to get me to finally make the jump. I'll probably get a PS3 though as the Blu-Ray player (since it's the most upgradeable, and also because I really want to play God of War 3 too lol). Can't wait to be able to watch this movie again though.

He made a mistake, this the url, http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/238667.html

Also the only thing I disliked was the editing for a PG rating. Not so much the lack of violence but the missing scenes, like how the Joker got out of jail. That and how did the guy on the tv see the joker, I didn't see a webcam anywhere lol. I'll be seeing it again next weekend, make sure it beats out Step Brothers :)

    • What I like about Paint is using it almost exclusively for cropping and resizing images I get elsewhere--it's quick, easy and cheap... I keep it glued to my taskbar, in fact. Also, the clipping tool comes in handy, as well (hit print scrn on the keyboard and it activates immediately.)
    • I still remember it fondly today. It was so cool to work in 64-color Half Bright mode and 4.096-color HAM mode (interlaced) when x86 was still in 4-color CGA or 16-color EGA low res. C= never realized what it had until it was far too late--the failure of C= was the failure of its top management. The C= Amiga was 20 years ahead of its time, I always thought. It didn't hurt that in only 512k of chip memory, the Amiga could preemptively multitask when Apple was still doing gray scale graphics on tiny screens and along with everyone else was doing cooperative multitasking (running more than one app at a time in resident memory, but you could only run one of them at a time--had to manually switch between them.) I had a ball with AREXX scripting running between programs that had AREXX ports so that when you sent other applications data and instructions, those running applications could process the same in real time to output! Memories...
    • I'm not sure about that, but it at least "does" a version of 7.1 that this brand new card doesn't....

    • I can barely recall getting web results from a file search... I must've turned it off long ago. 26H2 is Insider's Preview build 26300.8697, which I am running, atm. It is not available for people running the standard commercial builds of Windows--only for the beta test Insider's group. But anyway, as mentioned in the thread, this feature has been around for a long time...
