First Halo 3 multiplayer screens from Swedish Mag

Recommended Posts

What if you could save your own movies from Halo 3's single- and multiplayer gameplay and then rewatch them? In Halo 3, you can.

It's on now! Montages galore!

Now that is awesome! I bought a TV-Card just so I can do that with Halo 2 but it wasn't very good quality and I ended up not really using it. Having it built into the game is a great addition! I just hope they have an easy way of sharing this with others online  :D

With no offense to any Halo fanboys here, after seeing these scans of the magazine, I'm not too impressed with the graphics. They don't look like a big improvement over Halo 2 or Halo. I know it's still early and I'm sure there's placeholders, just stating.

"How can you say this is going to be amazing? All of that is pre-rendered! Nothing of that is in-game, they havent got a HUD! All it is is images that Bungie have put together to get us thinking how amazing it is!"

If this was the Sony forum and was a PS3 game, this thread would be full of replies like this from the M$ fanboys. Makes me laugh at how all you M$ bumsucks can actually bum aload of pre-rendered stuff when its a 360 game and totally contradict yourself when a PS3 game releases images of this sort.

I would quote lots of people here, but tbh I dont want to waste my time and also there would be too many to fit in this post!

But any way, as a 360 owner, I have no comment as again they are only renders, I will comment when I see someone playing the game before I comment on how amazing or crap it looks.

Any how, I will all you M$ fanboys in here to continue ejaculating over some PRE-RENDERED images and trolling in the Sony forum.

I love being neutral to both M$ and Sony as I can take the mik wen due, and the mik is due here for all you M$ boys loving this scans.

Chow.

I'll quote you when we're playing :) Oh, and you're neutral, but you say 'M$' like a 14 year old Sony fanboy,

Edit: bolded a prime example of your childishness.

I'll quote you when we're playing :) Oh, and you're neutral, but you use 'M$' like a 14 year old Sony fanboy.

ha Shetland, the thing is I quote M$ coz its funny. I own a 360, I am playing PES6 on my 360 at the moment. So I aint no Sony fanboy, I dont troll this forum, I havent trolled about this game, I would love for it to look like this, but I don't know why all you lot are gettin all so excited. Its just some scans, hell you guys trolled the hell out of everything PS3 that were scans or pre rendered, but come something 360 and its the f**king bomb, its gonna rock, its going to be the best god damn mutha f**king game ever.

Sorry dude, it annoys me how people are such gays about things like this and contradict themselves time and time again.

And also as for being a 14 year old Sony fanboy, I'm not the one claiming to have came over some scans from a swedish gaming magazine, now that must make 3/4's of the population of this xbox forum 11 year old microsoft nerds who have yet to have met women.

Jog On Son.

EDIT: OMG you have brought out the bold, dude get a life. You are all bumsucks, seriously, you don't see me getting all like this over PS3 scans or 360 scans so you can call me a fan boy at all. I was just stating what you lot are and it's really pathetic.

Scazza, while I agree with you that 360 fanboys would be saying how screens of PS3 games were prerendered, I don't think these screenshots are prerendered at all. Just because there is no HUD does not mean these are prerendered. It's common practice in the gaming industry to take more "cinematic" screenshots and leave out the HUD in early screens. The developers have programs that allow them to pause the game, remove any HUD material, and take screens of action shots that will look better than just taking one straight.

Whatever the reason for your attitude is Scazza, it's not on. I don't know why you're so adamant this is all pre-rendered, except for the concept art, it looks well within the limits of what we've seen the 360 do so far and I would bet money on it looking amazing by launch. For me at least, the Halo franchise has never been the best looking of games anyway.

  Another "$ony" fanboy calling himself neutral. It just doesn't get any better than that.

It's not pre-rendered stuff, guys. We saw the E3 trailer, and that was in game. This doesn't even look as good, in my opinion (all the maps are in the alpha stages, so that's totally expected; the E3 trailer level was polished to look good and awe-inspire). Are you going to say the promotional ad for Gears of War was pre-rendered too?

Edit: Scazza, just stop posting before you embarrass yourself even more. You're doing a great job now.

"These magazines are copyrighted material and are available to their subscribers and people who purchase the magazine. Scanning images, posting those images, scanning or posting transcriptions of the articles is a violation of the magazine's copyright and ownership of the material." - Bungie

to be honest it doesnt look that good, i mean look at the high res scans, it looks empty and definatly needs weather conditions or something. For example, check this screenshot out(http://tourfilms.com/h3scans/Halo3-3.JPG)... flat terrain, horrible textures... its garbage. Good thing its alpha :)

and yea, i know you will tell me its ALPHA, but whats the point of releasing these screenshots when they are not looking that good. ehh i guess Halo fans will love it either way.

"These magazines are copyrighted material and are available to their subscribers and people who purchase the magazine. Scanning images, posting those images, scanning or posting transcriptions of the articles is a violation of the magazine's copyright and ownership of the material." - Bungie

Well, you're never technically supposed to scan from a magazine. It's always copyrighted material. Common practice anyway.

DiEMOS, they released the screenshots to show that what's going on in Bungie headquarters. I don't really find the screenshots the best part. It's mostly the new weapons, vehicles, and gameplay mechanics that get me excited. That's not to say the final build of Halo 3 won't look absolutely amazing. Just look at Gears of War now.

Ayepecks, thats fair kop there mate, but as most people say, until you can see a HUD and someone playing it, you have to take these images with a pinch of salt until you do actually see them on a TV screen with some dude with a 360 controller in his hand kick some ass with a plasma gun.

Until that time, I'm gonna say, Yea those scans do look nice but I'm not gonna get all excited and change my underwear over it. Tbh I would never have to change my underwear over a game, but I do get hyped about certain games when they start coming together and looking good. No doub in my mind this game will kick ass, but it's the fact that you have all these people in here saying how amazing it looks and how amazing it's going to be JUST because its a 360 game.

Now if this was being produced on the PS3 and this exact topic was posting in the Sony Forum, you would have your usual trolls, trolling away at how they are just scans, just pre-rendered images, the fact that there is no HUD all because it is on a PS3 and not a 360.

It just gets to me because I love gaming and hate it when people take sides, coz im not one of them, Im gonna be buying all 3 Next Gen consoles and I cant wait to be playing Halo 3 on the 360, MGS4 on the PS3 and having fun lookin like an idiot waving my Wii Wand around. I wish everyone could be like this and not troll all the time.

^^^Except we know from the BWU that these guys actually played the game, and got the shots from the game. So they did have the controllers in their hand, and played all this stuff. Then they're like, "oh, I want a screenshot here," and accessed the debug menu and took off the HUD and snapped a pic.

Not true. Plenty of us acknowledge some PS3 games look good. I think Resistance looks pretty good. Not so much MGS4, but that's because of the horrendous environmental textures in the last screenshots we saw (worse than these alpha build textures of Halo 3).

This game looks amazing because it looks amazing; not because it's on the 360. That game is about the cowgirl with the zombies looks horrible. I acknowledge that, and it's a 360 game.

  Another "$ony" fanboy calling himself neutral. It just doesn't get any better than that.

Embarrasing myself? Ok I'm not the one saying that I need to change my pants coz I just came over some scans of a game now am I. I am just stating an opinion, and thats what goes on in the Sony forum all the time by you guys and what is with all the Alpha excuses? I don;t care if it's in alpha stage, I don't care at all.

As for GoW I can;t wait for that it's going to kick ass and looks fantastic, and I can say that truthfully coz I have seen it in action, people playing so I know that it's real.

If I was a fanboy I wouldn't be saying things like that now would I, hell I wouldn't of owned an Xbox and own a 360. So don't brand me as a fanboy when I'm not. All I have is an opinion about the majority of the Xbox Forum users who fail to see anything else good if it doesn't have the numbers 360 slapped on it.

"These magazines are copyrighted material and are available to their subscribers and people who purchase the magazine. Scanning images, posting those images, scanning or posting transcriptions of the articles is a violation of the magazine's copyright and ownership of the material." - Bungie

Right. So does this thread not break rules?

Not just cinematic shots...

taken from Neogaf.

I'd say it's quite a difference give or take a few for an alpha game with placeholder texture/weather/other effects off. Not to mention we're judging this on ugly magazine scans.

You know Halo 2 doesn't look this good.

MC has a lot more detail:

halo33uu6.png

Looks better than Coagulation:

halo31nm6.png

Midship isn't near the quality of this(the magazine seemed to photoshop the warthog in this pic btw):

halo39tg6.png

Most important of all, these will be rendered in 720p/1080i(p). It's by far the largest difference between Halo 2's 480p.

I'll quote you when we're playing :) Oh, and you're neutral, but you say 'M$' like a 14 year old Sony fanboy,

While he is clearly acting like a fanboy. So are you. Even when you posted the pics you said "For any anti-xbox360 fanboys" like anyone who is disappointed in the pics is either a newbie or a fanboy.

    • Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) 18.1.5.5 by Razvan Serea Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) is a utility for completely removing AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL graphics drivers and related packages from your system, attempting to eliminate all leftovers (including registry entries, folders and files, driver store). Though AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL drivers can usually be removed via the Windows Control Panel, this uninstaller tool was created for situations where standard uninstall fails, or when you need to fully remove NVIDIA or ATI graphics card drivers. After using this driver cleaner, your system will behave as though it’s the first time you’re installing a new driver—similar to a fresh Windows installation. As with all such tools, we recommend creating a restore point beforehand, allowing you to undo changes if issues arise. If you're having trouble installing an older or newer driver, try it—there are reports that it resolves such problems. Recommended usage: The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best. Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe). It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues. You do NOT need to uninstall the driver prior using DDU. Requirements: .NET Framework 4.8 Compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11 (32-bit or 64-bit) Note: Using on Insider Preview builds is at your own risk.
