[Definitive] Wii Number Thread

Recommended Posts

Alrite I got my my wii last night and set it all up so i'm new to all this. I made my mii and were do I get my code? Is there something to do with wiiconnect24 because I keep trying to go to the user agreements page to activate it but it says cannot connect to internet even though when I go to test connection it works. I'm getting error number 52030.

So basicly three questions: Where is the number for you mii and how can I get wiiconnect24 to work and what is wiiconnect24 used for?

make sure you're getting a good connection. at first i could connect to the wireless network but i was dropping so many packets that the information wasnt getting through. try pinging your wii to see if it's dropping in and out. if it is, try setting the channel on your wireless router/ap to 1 or 11.

to find your wii number, click on the message icon in the bottom right corner on the main wii menu, then click on the far right address book icon. it should be on the first screen that shows up after that.

edit: oh and your third question. wii connect lets you get to all of the online features for the wii. such as shopping for virtual console games, weather and news (not implimented yet), and online play.

Thanks for answering. I found out it wasn't a stable connection but now it works, I kept trying and trying and it works now.

Has anyone had any visiting Mii's yet? I've added everyone on the list...and we reposted others numbers because we were asked to and it helps to keep the numbers together for adding them more quickly in addition to seeing who is new to the list. It is easy, after all, to copy and paste.

now does anyone know if you can rearrange the addresses in the address book? because I want it set up where each catagory (wiis, emails, neowiners you all get your own category :)) goes together

I put tags before people's names, like for here i put: [nw]. It's sort of a weak idea because then you're limited to even less characters.

    • Does anyone here know if these updates are integrated into the UUP dump isos?

    • NVIDIA officially supports Ubuntu, as linked above with the GeForce NOW Hands on I did in collaboration with Paul Hill.
    • TO be clear I am not running linux today, however I keep thinking about it. And I want to make sure there are minimal obstacles if I decide to make that switch in the coming months.
    • Yes, I actually glossed over the Linux part from the OP. You could always go for a 9070 XT and if you really want to play Ray Traced games in the future, GeForce Now is pretty damn good on Linux https://www.neowin.net/news/nvidias-native-geforce-now-app-for-linux-bridges-the-gaming-gap-hands-on/
