Mac OS X 'Leopard'-related Discussion

I love the change to the menubar. It's more like the Tiger menubar now but still keeps the transparency. Glad to see icons being updated in System Preferences. Expos? and Spaces still needs to be redone though:// The new default wallpaper is perfect. It's what they should have shown at WWDC. The window controls have WAY to much saturation. Hopefully that gets toned down a bit. Although I doubt it since the Appearance icon in System Preferences has it. The new intro movie is fantastic.

The new wallpaper looks great. I'm glad they decided against the grass. And it's also a relief to see that Apple still haven't finished tinkering with the GUI - I was really starting to think Leopard was going to ship with that "Aqua's retarded cousin" GUI.

Edit: is it just me, or does it seem like that new default wallpaper would make it impossible to see window shadows?

Preview sees an update with the return of the Tiger Mail style buttons :s

So much for consistency...

It has changed. It's more opaque and the gradient has changed.

Yes, I've noticed this, although I did like how it looked originally back in 9A466. It'd be nice if Apple allowed us to have a transparency slider in the Appearance window. (Nothing to drastic, maybe only allow it to go down as much as 50% or so.)

well they now have a blur behind the title bar, like Vista. the title bar is less transparent, more opaque - i like it!

the new semaphors - i don't really care: i always use Graphite and they - even without being Graphite, look good :)

so far, so good. i still really dislike the new dock, though :( too flashy

more details to notice:

- various icons on the preferences panel have changed to reflect either the new wallpaper (Desktop and Screensaver) or the regular Apple Cinema Display (no iSight on the icons - could mean no updates to the displays)

- "Preview" still hasn't stabilized, it seems. is it just me or do they change the UI on that every 2 months? :p

Preview looks out of place with those Tiger-ish Mail buttons. Don't know what's up with that.

With the whole Space theme going on in Mac OS X Leopard the new iMac design kind of falls into place. Or maybe it's just a coincidence.

Knowing Apple I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Apples UI is having an identity crisis... I think they want something new but whatever they do to try and improve the look of aqua just ****s it up even more... (personal opinion)

It sure would be great if someone posted the updated Activity Monitor, Console and Terminal icons ;)

I'll +1 that :) Console though should have used the same border as Terminal, etc though.

I love almost all the changes in Leopard and I hope Apple continues to refine it the way they are.
