Ice cooling - am I a genius?

Recommended Posts

maybe instead of ice you could use a dozen sparrows that will fly in over the cpu, pick up the heat in their claws and fly it out the window and return. I think about 6 sparrows should be ample, more if you have a larger distance to travel.

Alternatively put sausages* onto your cpu so that the meat absorbs the heat, not only cooling your PC but cooking a delicious meal too.

*sausages can be substituted for hamburgers, babies or fish if you prefer

while your at it, just drill some holes in your fridge/frezer for cords and put your whole computer in there.

What is the temperature of space? Is it constant? (obviously when its not in sunlight)

I'll come to PureLegends defense by asking a stupid question, but I thought that water freezes at 0c? Hence why Antartica is like.. cold and stuff.. cos its always in minus.. you know..

Water freezes at 0?C, provided a certain pressure level is given. I think it's 1013 mbar for water to freeze at 0?C. You can, for example, increase the pressure, and the freezing point would increase too. But that's not what I wanted to get at. Ice is 0?C. Or colder. At normal pressure, of course.

From the amount you know, I wouldn't be surprised if you'd been up in space and looked yourse:blink:nk:

But still, he can't tell the difference between "affect" and "effect".

hahahahh quality post Smigit you never fail to make me chuckle :p I tired it but it failed...but then again i used pigeons sitting on small 3 legged seats....stool pigeons.....

Seriously though it is possible to use a fridge BUT only 1 type of fridge produces a moisture free environment...absorption fridges (like the fridges you find in mobile homes/caravans etc)

So whats the deal with the timestamps of the posts on this thread?? <See Pic>

Back on topic, seriously, this thread is both the weirdest and funniest thing I've read on Neowin for a LONG time.

    • Ridiculous claim that the labor cost difference of $6000 annually would increase cost per phone by $200. The employees produce 3 phones per month or what?
