What % of your xmas shopping did you do online?

We bought ALL our xmas groceries online from Tesco and 1 pressie for my son from Ebuyer, the rest were from town :D

Personally I think its more down to personal preference more than anything else, my mate got his new TV in town for ?750 knowing of he got it online it would have cost him ?500 but he wanted it there and then where as me i could wait a few days and be happy i saved ?250 for not having a new TV a few days earley.

I'll wager he could find it in a store for ?500 too, if he knew where to shop.

The kind of stuff I was buying is far cheaper online / more chose, factor in the cost of getting to the shopping centres in the first place, and it's far cheaper online.

I only bought a Home Theatre System off ebay for my father. Everything else was done in the stores, as actually the retail stores were far more cheaper.

I would say 25%, but I only bought 4 gifts, and three are going to the GF, one for the mum, lol.

mainly only stuff I can't find in stores within 20 miles of me, and stuff that is just plain cheaper online or if there is an outragiously good deal, thats about it

I bought everything except one online...I got that singing Hallmark snowman/penguin thing for my mom at the store as I thought it would make a nice addition to her other present. I was walking by Hallmark one day last week, and I looked in the window and saw they were on sale for $9.95. They were trying to get rid of them before Christmas. Other than that, I bought everything online. I buy almost everything else online anyway...it's much cheaper to get DVDs, books, and electronic stuff from online rather than heading out to Barnes and Noble or Best Buy. You also get more of a selection...

I only bought my monitor online because I couldn't get it in the shops.
