[UK] Where can I get a Wii?!

It's Xmas, I have the money and I badly want a Wii!!!

Where's it worth ordering from online? Can anyone recommend?

I'd love to go into town and buy one same day but my chances are zilch.

Anyone else in this position?

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I reckon I could've got one last week if I kept hunting around the shops early every day but I couldn't be bothered. I'm gonna wait a couple of weeks. Some good games other than Wii Sports and Zelda should be out by then too.

Virgin Megastores are always a good bet because they don't take pre-orders, so its a first-come-first-served system.

Will have to see how it goes.

If anyone gets any info of stock coming in to places, let us know ;)

I Wouldn't try Virgin, apparently they are forcing people into buying stupid bundles with something like 8 games in.

Try a local independent store or somewhere like Curry's or Comet, they are bound to have some. I have also heard that Argos have quite a nice bit of Wii stock in now so you may be lucky there.

I managed to get one from Game last Monday. It was sheer luck, though. Try calling up various stores in your city. Game, Currys, Comet, PC World, ToysRUs, Argos, or even try a catalogue. That's where I was originally going to get the Wii from. But they failed to deliver it on Monday the 11th like they promised. I got the Wii last Monday and then 3 days later, the one from the catalogue arrived! My mum ended up sending it back, but I wanted to keep Zelda.

Try the Lookagain catalogue. They might have some still. The only downside is that you'll be paying more for it due to it being pay weekly.

funny story, i waltzed into a Game shop and they had 27, just a one off delivery.. bought it.. bought zelda.. happy days :) this was thursday the 21st decemer ^^

yeah some GAME stores got some deliveries last thursday and friday, but all the ones i called up were sold out in about half hour.

oh well the search continues....
