Official MacWorld Keynote Thread

Recommended Posts

Yep, already bitching about Vista. I think most MacWorld attendees are already sold on OS X. What's the point, Apple?

About the same point as an Apple-hating zealot commenting here, wouldn't you think? :p

9:27 am looks the same

9:27 am wirelessly trasmit content to tv

Apple TV (Codename iTV)

Intel Processor

802.11 b, g and n

40Gb Hard Disk

720p HD Video

HDMI & Component output

9:25 PT. 720 progressive HDTV. 40 GB HD confirmed. B, G & N! (That is to say, 802.11a/b/g/n.) How sweet to be right! Can stream from up to 5 machines and sync to 1 machine including your iTunes library. Both Mac and PC. Can "Autosync", i.e. take the 10 most recent unwatched vids and send them to the TV. UI is similar to an updated Front Row.

:D

Surely it's just for storing temporary content locally, the rest will stream from your PC

hmm...the apple tv is beginning to look like something i want. stream from Pc to TV, or store movies right on the apple tv's hard drive. not too shabby

i looked at similar boxes last year and nothing had really good reviews. always crappy software and lack of codecs, etc. if this "just works", it might be what i want.
