for anyone who hasn't figured out where "how many waves" comes from, move the spring so it locks as others have said... then from the outer end of the spring, take the letters that the spring directly intersects.. the letters, not the blocks. you get how many waves

Now does anyone now what waves refers to? The non-posted video?

Sundial answer is HELIOS

and moving the sundial to match them, then taking the letters it points to one by one.
