Just took a look at page 47 and to be honest im not sure it does mean anything. Good catch though. Very observant.

I'm surprised to hear that no one's taking interest in this. Those frames are very deliberate and reproducible. They're also NOT present on the titles of the first two boxes (Time and Magic).

Momentary flashes across a screen have led us to /on_the_run and /collectionplate. Why would this obviously deliberate flash mean NOTHING?

This is a very tangible and straightforward clue - not like people looking for number associations and random websites with vague references to the game.

I think it's worth the energy - I'm surprised no on else is taking note of something so blatant

The other thing is that the frames are not just with letters missing - eo el disa i r (or 1 r) can't be made into "people disappear" just by adding the letters back - "people" would be spelled "peopel" I think you guys are missing something here

I think the flower in this shot is a "Bird of Paradise"

The statue looks a bit more like a horse to me, but if it's indeed a bird, The Blue Heron comes to mind with those long legs.

thats what i think too...didnt catch your post..

btw, i love foxes and japanese style martial arts. There are various Kitsunes ... some with 7 tails, there are statues like a God to the Japanese.

I agree that there is a significance to this (eo el disa i r (or 1 r)).

Also "Memories fade..." History maybe?

The thing is - these frames pop up in both the "memories fade" and "people disappear" titles.

I'm pretty sure now it's "...1 r" not "...i r"

doesn't hit anything in google...no idea where else to begin.

After looking at the two videos at the end of each puzzle there is a couple things I noticed, In the first video it clearly shows a closeup at her feet showing her legs crossed and a closeup of her shoes then in the second video it shows a closeup of the same area but this time no legs or feet (perhaps she's starting to disapear... )but her wand still in the picture.

She seems to be wearing the same exact clothes in both videos meaning they were probally filmed together but another difference I see is she is wearing a necklace in the second video but not in the first, you would think there might be something there. also someone reffered to her maybe having a twin that maybe how she managed to get quadruple majors in just two years also the tale of 2 brothers refers to twins and that everyone always thought there was just one of them which let them fool people and get away with lot.... Im thinking from the meta puzzle clues we need to find who she loki is we already sawed her in half LO=Lorelei KI=Kitsune the school she possibly went to MIT? where she works Microsoft... now maybe we need to find reletaves, parents, friends, history, genology not sure but it seems we are learning more about her at every turn so it seems the right direction to go.

I do not beleive that the type of chocolates, type of watches, or where she is flying to has much to do with the puzzle. These all have 1 thing in common.... the number 4.

4 chocolate wrappers, 4 watches, 4 flights, 4 Boxes (Puzzles to solve). I have a feeling that some of these things were put in to throw people of track. But then again I have been known to be wrong before.

It may not be related to the puzzle boxes, but there are many things shown in the videos

that are deliberate, and ways to comunicate with Loki outside the puzzle game.

What is she waiting for to show up somewhere, some how again, I don't know.

Remember that these guys from e42 found the way to make 50,000 public phones ring

at the same time during the Halo viral marketing campaign, and the actual intention

of this game is to create buzz not just solve a couple of puzzles that are not extremely

easy but also not extremely hard and then wait and do nothing until the next box opens.

I may be wrong but this is what I think, as I said before if the game is just solve the

puzzles in the boxes, it is really a sign that whoever is behind the whole thing

underestimates (and grossly) the power of this huge group of collective minds.

Forgot to mention, actually is five watches, she puts four in the box but keeps one in

her hand, then she has it on her hands in the second video and on the third video

when she is telling the history about the recruiter she says "hey give me the job and I’ll

be giving you your watch back"

My .02

Cheers

PS. Thanks for the Dodo bird reference and bird of paradise flower, I'll follow that lead,

I've been trying to find in what hotel room she was staying, it has to be some downtown

area (perhaps Seattle) due the background street noise.

I thought I had read through it all. There's 4 days till the next box opens. Maybe I'll loop back and check it out. Sorry I was a little short, but the guy kinda ticked me off when he said that. How many different threads are you guys after going through? Let me know so I can catch up...

Sorry... & Thanks.

FYI i wasn't trying to upset you just trying to let you know that someone had already gone through this information and you should take a look if you were interested.

I know that the boxes in the top left hand corner of the magic puzzles helped us match the clues to each puzzle, but do you think that they are also a clue themselves ( leaving out the florida and australia shaped ones)? There is a font in MS word labeled MS Box writing which is very similar to those shapes.

Hi all,

I've been working on this since the 9th, and have been reading the posts (though not posting due to a lack of anything specific to add), and I was wondering if I missed something:

How do we know for sure that the /CollectionPlate boxes are part of the Meta Puzzle and not a clue for a later puzzle (or a later puzzle itself)? From the beginning I (and we)'ve been jumping through hoops for the Meta Puzzle: Go to this site, figure out an email, make numerous calls, check out an itinerary, research buildings, make more calls... And then nothing on that front.

Leaving that alone, we find the white boxes. 9/puzzle box. We start to put those together, and the collectionplate page tells how many we have and that we will be asked a question at the correct time. But... We could have found the collectionplate without ever calling the number to the former ATT building...

So, are they related? What was the purpose of all the phone calls/research/emails if we didnt need them...?

I ask that you not flame me for something probably obvious... Sometimes you're so deep into something you miss something silly.

Just thought I'd ask.

A couple of random thoughts...

It appears that the cellphone Loki is using is a Blackberry 7130. I haven't seen anything yet that would lead to her cell phone number however; Blackberry offers an email service.

I sent two emails at the same time this morning. One to lokivanishessplatvzw.blackberry.net and one to lokisplatvzw.blackberry.net . Only the first one bounced back. The second email to Loki has not bounced 4 hours later. It may mean nothing, but it can't hurt to try a couple different ideas.

----------

The airport itinerary.

1) Will the Loki we see in the videos be on one of those flights? I doubt it, it would be far too simple and obvious. I imagine she is staying fairly "low-key" for the duration of the contest or until we get closer to the end.

2) Will someone connected to the game be on one of those flights? There is a fair degree of probability in my mind.

I'm wondering... If someone was able to make contact with the "right" person on one of those flights, would they be given additional clues? I realize I may be reaching here.

I'm halfway tempted to try and find someone who will stand at the gate with a "Loki" sign, much like a Limo driver, to see if there is a response.

One last thing. One area of my job is to oversee contests and promotions for a large system within a national company. In running a successful contest, one key element is the consistent engagement of the participants. The last thing you want is to lose momentum in the midst of the contest period. Based on this, I believe that we are missing something that is happening right now.

I just don't know what "it" is.

Loki has posted here once before, perhaps if we ask nicely...

I keep thinking this whole thing goes back to the luanch of Windows Vista, and something about that makes me think there might be some clues in the Vista website. I have been sitting for hours looking through all the Wow pictures, nothing so far.

This goes in the "maybe something...maybe nothing" catagory. Let me know if someone is already looking at this.

Loki at one point said to watch for the tags (paraphrased). Has anyone researched Microsofts "tagspace"?

Below are a couple links

Introducing Microsoft.com "Tagspace"

This is where the Microsoft.com service code-named Tagspace comes in. Microsoft.com Tagspace is all about giving you, the consumer of content on Microsoft.com and associated sites, the power to identify, define, catalogue, and share what interests you, in ways that make sense to you in those contexts.

Tagspace Intro Link

or the Microsoft Tagspace Beta Community ?

Tagspace Beta Community

I haven't found anything there yet, but it caught my attention as did an article about "tag in the 21st century" and the 5 Things Meme blogging thing that is going on.

Microsft Blogger Explains tag in the 21st century

Another example of 5 things Meme

Could Loki be playing this and her videos relate to 5 things about her?

Thoughts anyone?

I think what she meant when she said "Vanishing Point Tag", is the tag used on blogs. Many bloggers put tags on their blog entries, with general categories or keywords, as to easily identify and search for entries. So she must have been referring to the Microsoft blog, or the IE blog, or perhaps the other bloggers who received a box and key from Microsoft (after all, she told them to "search out others like [them]")

Is anyone currently working / thinking about the banded Loki image?

http://vanishingpointgame.com/images/loki.jpg

Do we know a purpose for its existence? If not, any ideas on the banding?

I just realized that a few pages back somebody posted a pic of "lines" could this have anything to with the pic of loki with "lines"? Whoever posted that if you would post it again it would be great (I'll work on trying to match them up)!

I can't find the earlier post, if you find it elsewhere please repost here.

I've tried every trick I know against the original, as well as copies I sliced up (Used Imageready to slice into 4 pixel horizontal bars, this matches up nicely). Nothing yet.

I believe you refer to this image, found in several of the flash files

calendars_image2.bmp

If you look at that frame way to the back on the night stand to your left you will see the

chocolate wrapers on the table. Somebody during the pregame even found who

makes them !!! :-)

What I'm talking about is the flower vase with the three flowers and what seems to be

a room service tray, that image is shown for about 75 frames the last few have the

dude on the right and a red extension cord on the floor.

Ya i was trying to point that out and see any reasoning in having wrapped and unwrapped ones

    • Microsoft Weekly: Surface Laptop Ultra, Windows 11 context menus, Build 2026 recap, and more by Taras Buria This week's news recap is here, with Microsoft announcing the new Surface Laptop Ultra, fresh chips from NVIDIA for Windows on ARM, a no-build week, fixes for Windows 11's context menus, gaming news, reviews, and more. Quick links: Windows 10 and 11 Windows Insider Program Updates are available Reviews are in Gaming news Great deals to check Windows 11 and Windows 10 Here, we talk about everything happening around Microsoft's latest operating system in the Stable channel and preview builds: new features, removed features, controversies, bugs, interesting findings, and more. And, of course, you may find a word or two about older versions. At Computex 2026, together with NVIDIA, Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop Ultra, its most powerful laptop to date, powered by NVIDIA's RTX Spark processor. Details about this computer are currently scarce, as Microsoft has only revealed certain parts of its specs. So far, we know that the computer has a 15-inch mini-LED display, a rich set of ports, a powerful processor, and all-day battery life. It also comes with a new wallpaper, which you can already download here in full resolution. The Surface Laptop Studio is not the only NVIDIA-powered Surface, which Microsoft unveiled this week. At Build 2026, the company also debuted the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, an odd-shaped desktop with a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU and an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores with FP4 precision, connected via the NVIDIA NVLink-C2C chip-to-chip interconnect for high performance. According to Microsoft, it can run models with up to 120 billion parameters locally without relying on cloud GPU infrastructure. These two new Surface devices are likely to cost quite a lot, and for those who need a more affordable device, Microsoft is preparing the next-gen Qualcomm-powered Surface Pro and Surface Laptop. This week, details about these two devices leaked in plenty of detail. Other announcements at Build 2026 include the following: Microsoft unveils new security tools for IT admins and developers building AI products Microsoft announces Scout, an OpenClaw-powered personal agent for enterprise customers Microsoft unveils MAI-Thinking-1 reasoning and MAI-Code-1 coding models Microsoft announced a new Windows 11 native command-line utility Microsoft unveils Majorana 2 quantum chip, accelerating commercial timeline to 2029 Microsoft believes that AI agents will eventually replace apps through Project Solara Microsoft introduces Web IQ, a Bing-powered search system built for AI agents Last week, Microsoft released a new Experimental build, which introduced a major Start menu upgrade. It now lets you toggle off specific parts of the menu without affecting other features, resize the menu, and hide additional UI elements. We published a closer look here, so if you want to know what Microsoft is cooking without enrolling in the Insider program and installing unstable builds, check it out. Speaking of new features, many users are very annoyed about the way Microsoft delivers them. Recently, a frustrated user shared their experience with gradual rollouts, and even Microsoft engineers admitted there is a flaw in the system that prevents new features from applying properly. One of those new features includes the ability to uninstall AI models in Windows 11 with a single click. Windows 11 is finally getting fixes for its slow context menus. Marcus Ash from Microsoft confirmed that the company is working on fixing Windows 11's context menus. Reworked context menus are going to be faster, simpler by default, and "configurable to what you use most." According to Marcus, Microsoft will share more details soon. Windows Insider Program Windows 11 preview builds, released last week, are now available for download as standalone ISO files. These days, Microsoft regularly pushes new images, allowing users to clean-install its recent Windows 11 preview builds faster and easier. If you want to try the latest Windows 11 features without jumping through the Windows Update hoops, get those new images here. Sadly, Microsoft did not release new Windows 11 preview builds this week. Come back next time. Updates are available This section covers software, firmware, and other notable updates (released and coming soon) delivering new features, security fixes, improvements, patches, and more from Microsoft and third parties. Microsoft is preparing new features for Teams. Later this month, the messenger will receive a new download manager with auto-dismissing notifications, reducing clutter and making the overall experience less annoying when dealing with downloads. Mozilla released Firefox 151.0.3, a new bug-fixing update for the browser. It is a small release, which fixes problems with pasting into text fields and the oversized VPN button on the toolbar. However, the front-facing USB Type-C is data-only, and there are some quirks with the computer's memory, so check out the full review. The AMD RX 9070 GRE has been released worldwide, and we published a benchmark review comparing this powerful graphics card to the RX 9070 XT, 7800 XT, the NVIDIA RTX 5070, and RTX 4070. It has solid, balanced performance, plenty of RAM, and low temperatures, but watch out for mediocre ray tracing performance and not the best efficiency. Also, we reviewed the Cuktech 10 Ultra, a compact, high-power charger with four ports and a big display full of various stats. This tiny charger can pull nearly 120W and spread that power according to each connected device's needs. It also comes with a high-quality 240W cable, three power modes, and retractable prongs. The best part? It is quite affordable, just make sure you have an outlet placed in the right spot to benefit from the built-in display. • "Revelation?" I was hoping for this episode to be called "Reunion". Oh, well... In a related note, the Final Fantasy VII compilation has received an EC entry, short for Ever Crisis. For those who don't know, it already had AC, BC, CC, and DC entries, short for Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. I hope it doesn't get an FC entry becaude that would be a freakin' crisis.
