Hi,

Just got back from the party. I know there were lots of folks on line so I'm presuming you're all up on everything. I'll dig through the pages.

But just in case there were actors - 3 out of 4 considered "clues" Amelia, Bobbie Fisher and some one from a car crash off of Millholand Drive.

sorry if I"m being repetitive. Talked to one of the guys in charge and found out that there were no further clues forthcoming at the party.

Please feel free to ask me about anything at the party and I'll dig through the postings I've missed.

Hey everyone. Fireworks and Party were AWESOME. Posted a recap at Unfiction for anyone interested.

For Backstage, here's what my wife came up with for the notes. Luckily, she's got perfect pitch. :)

Star- C

Smiley ?D

Planet ? E

Heart - G

Butterfly ? E

Circle, D

Bug - F

Cube ? E

Not sure if there number of times the shape showed up matter, but unfortunately, I didn't have live video from the event.

As for the party, I really hate to burst your bubble, but there were NO CLUES at the party. I interviewed the gal who did the decorations and hired the actors, and all she was given in terms of instructions on the decor was to make it feel like the bermuda triangle, black hole, or some other place where people disappear. The actors were just part of the flavor of the event and otherwise insignificant.

Or so she said.

Anyone daring enough to try 424-271-3124 at this time of nite?

Sure, I'll try it. Area code 424 is Santa Monica, California -- called the number, got a "your call cannot be completed as dialed" from T-Mobile here in Seattle. Got the same from my Verizon Wireless phone too. Hmm.

press "tab" repeatedly and it will highlight them for you.

how did you get the safe to work?

thx

You have to count the fireworks in the clue starting at 5:48. 2 (to the left) and 3 (to the right) means 23. It opens like a normal combo lock, turn right to the first number, then left all the way around to the second number, then right directly to the third number.

Edit: by "right" i mean CW, and "left" CCW

Great summary SuperRob, and the history about the folks just playing football in the park.. hilarious !!!

star = bass clarinet

Not a bass clarinet, just a regular old b-flat clarinet (like the one I played in middle school  ). Interesting to note that the trumpet is black, black trumpets are often used in jazz because the coloring process gives them a different sound (they're also a heck of a lot more expensive).

    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
