wbell
Kind of disappointing to solve Backstage just by guessing songs based upon the poster. After solving the other puzzles, it will be "fun" to deconstruct a "better" path to that solution. I don't think it was a guess. If you play the notes that correspond to the shapes, it plays "Begin The Beguine." Dogga
The "topographic map" idea for Room With A View is something I considered a few hours ago. If someone could indeed use the numbers to indicate height, and then look at it from a "ground level" view (if you consider the current 2D view as aerial), something might show up... Just to clarify, the Bulletin Board clue starts at around 4:00. I thought the Room For A View clue was given during the speech at the beginning of the video ("pattern-seeking... is the axis around which this age of the world will spin"). At 6:57, it's not clear which puzzle the clue belongs to -- the standard def "official" video has horrible color, and the unofficial hi def one was way too zoomed in to be useful -- it almost looks like a solid white arch, which would mean it belongs to Music Charts. It could *also* be totally yellow, which means it could belong to Lost Luggage. (Again, the videos aren't clear enough.) These are the start times I have so far: Room With A View (YPY) - 0:24 (intro) Cliff Climb (RGR) - 2:52 Drive-In (YRY) - 3:24 Search and Rescue (GGG) - 3:31 Bulletin Board (GPG) - 4:00 Memorial Plaque (BYB) - 4:15 Safe (RRR) - 5:47 Backstage (GYG) - 6:19 Captain's Log (YBY) - 7:53 Chess Column (BBB) - 8:35 (only 8 flares) Unmatched puzzles: Lost Luggage (YYY) - ?? Music Charts (WWW) - ?? Unmatched start times: ?? - 5:28 ?? - 6:57 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/533452-puzzle-box-4/page/34/#findComment-588267489 Share on other sites

kpxo
i wish i had legos. it would be a good idea to stack them according to what number is on the roomforaview grid. ex: 1 block on the 1's, 2 blocks on the 2's. etc. i noticed there are only four blocks with 11 on them, and they're all in a row. hozie1
Has anyone noticed or think it is significant that in Bulletin Board the numbers 13124 are on a continuous color scale. For example, the bottom of the first number (1) has a color gradient into the top of the second number (3) and it continues this way till the end. Basically, the numbers "flow" into each other as if they are on a color scale. hozie1
it doesnt work, but i thought 13124 looked like a prism. so i took letters 13124 from "prism" and got "piprs" ...which is alot like piper; as in "Paying the Piper" (another phrase for death). Some more things to note: - The words/numbers DEATH, CHASE and 13124 and 42427 (sequence from the video) are all made up of 5 letters/digits. - You can "transform" DEATH to CHASE with -1/+3/0/-1/-3 So the result might be a 5-letter word to which 13124 is the key. Maybe it needs to be "transformed" using the digits gained from the video, where red fireworks could mean subtract this digit and green could mean add this digit. Didn't work out for me, though...
