Puzzle Box 4

Recommended Posts

Hello, this is my first post and my first actual interaction with anyone over the puzzles found at vanishingpointgame.com I have solved most of them by myself, but these last 4 are true mind bogglers, Some harder then others. But i found it interesting to note that the title of the final puzzle of Puzzle Box 4, (as I'm almost certain its still not over, much like Da Vinci Code's "final") was "A Room with a View" which is one of my favorite novels of all time by E.M.Forster, and we've seen historical backgrounds in all of these final puzzles, Music(BackStage),Movies(DriveIn) my theory is maybe there is a connection between the title of the puzzle with the perspective were looking from. Dunno- i could be rambling.

Also I find it interesting that every picture found on the internet is almost int he exact same location as the one found on the Puzzle, I myself have been to Seattle and I find it odd that picture can only be found in 1 place, and thats teh Crowne Plaza Hotel or even Queen Anne Hill, but other then that- that pictures location is pure fictional. I've tried both Locations and came up with a dead end, and while I tend to think outside the Box, maybe we can connect the Location with the Numbers.

Good luck

what picture(s) are you referring to?

what picture(s) are you referring to?

The picture i'm refering to isn't really a picture but the "view" of the Space Needle and the city. Also looks like this.

space_needle.jpg

As elaborate and thought out each puzzle is, they would have made the View accurate, and the only way they can do that is by going 1 of the 2 locations

1.) Crowne Plaza Hotel

2.) Queen Anne Hill

Those 2 places offer the same view you see in the puzzle. the Answer could possibly be connected to either of those locations.

just trying to help people on page 65 or what ever it is up to already. Last update for the night.

Just in case i missed it somewhere, here is what we have so far:

Bulletin Board: unsolved

Room with a View: unsolved

Thanks to everyone who solved or help solve these.

Wanted to join into the conversation. I rushed though the 50+ pages here before signing up, so sorry if im slow on the catch up.

Just a thought on bulletin board could the 13124 be a date? If so two ppl to note, Slim Harpo was born on Jan 31st 1924 (1/31/24). And George Hermanndied on 13th of Jan 1924 (13/1/1924)

*EDIT* fixed link

Bulletin Board - Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but looking through the last few pages I cannot see it.

I have linked several of the images as murder weapons in Agatha Christie movies (clock, overcoat, racqet, bucket..etc). In all of those movies, the detective is "Hercule Poirot, the Belgian Detective". However i cannot get any further. don't know how 13124 links to this yet

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with adblockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Opera Air'. It still has some bloat, but nowhere near as much as Brave browser, for example. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. I have a system wide Adblocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the the web browser, but over the whole thing. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt adblocker because of that.
