Nikon SU-800

I bought the Nikon SB-600 flash on Friday and its a pretty cool flash.

Im interested in getting the Nikon SU-800 wireless flash commander. I use the Nikon D50 so it doesnt have the right flash or something to use with the SB-600 wirelessly. Does anybody use the SU-800? Are there cheaper non nikon alternitives to it?

There is no other way goodcase. Have look at nikonimaging website and clic on your D50. You will see that your camera built in flash cannot be used as your commander. You will need the SU-800 to command other flashes.

off topic: goode case would you mind posting pics taken with the onboard flash and then the same pic taken with the add on flash of a still subject perhaps?

i will when i get my camera back later this month..2 more weeks...i go the quote for the repair today, its $172 so its not bad at all.
