Business for free for now. But I'll buy ultimate and give business to my brother soon enough.

2 [free] copies:

Vista Ultimate (Beta Program gift)

Vista Business (Power Together promotion)

Currently, though, I am only running Vista Ultimate.

Ultimate 32-bit here :)

i'm just curious, but why ultimate? it doesn't really have anything different from home premium that would make a big difference.

oh and i currecntly have 1GB of ram, would 2GB make anything better? i'll probably be getting 2gb soon.

Of course, that is if you forget about...

  • Everything included in Business (not in Home Premium!)
  • BitLocker and EFS
  • Windows System Assessment tool
  • Longer support lifespan
  • Bigger RAM ability
  • Multilingual User Interface
  • UNIX application support
  • Windows Ultimate Extras

Home Premium. Just cant justify $399 for Ultimate. Wasn't lucky enough to get Ultimate thru beta or Business with PowerTogether (got Office though.)

I don't buy "upgrade" versions. I don't want to invalidate my XP license on my primary machine until Vista is a bit more polished. So for now I dual boot.

Home Premium for now. But I plan on doing the Anytime upgrade to ultimate once all the bugs are worked out

Home Premium...

Just for playing games (games that dont run on os x), running win-only apps (there are very few i need) and aero glass...

im also gonna install xp soon again when I can get some GBytes back on my 250gb hdd.

For everything else: OS X.

I might get Ultimate by using Anytime Upgrade some day tho I guess... when it's cheap... i mean really cheap... maybe 50 bucks would be what id spend on this one.

x86 Business (from Power Together) for now, about to order my media for x64 though, as all of my hardware has decent driver support. I'm also ordering real media for my Power Together copy of Office to replace the CDs I burned from the downloaded files.

http://www.microsoft.com/office/backup/default.mspx = order Office 2007 media

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/1033...ia/default.mspx = order alternate Vista media

Just in case someone here needs the links. :)
