Firefox 2.0.0.2 Released

Recommended Posts

Does this version work with Java SE Runtime Environment 6? I heard previous 2.0 releases had problems. I was thinking about using Java SE Runtime Environment 6, if it works with Firefox and Opera. Is anyone using it over JRE 5.0 Update 11? Any advantages or disadvantages? Here's a link to download it. https://sdlc6d.sun.com:443/ECom/EComActionS...F501EF3142736E9

i have tried 6 but uninstalled b/c my school webct was unsupported.

and 5.0 Update 11 works fine as that is what currently on my computer.

Secure Login seems to be something like that. I don't know for sure as I've never used the Wand, but they say it's like the Wand in Opera. It's new. I use it and like it a lot.

Edit: typo, I missed.

I just tried it but it didn't work at all :(

I even deleted my profile and tried installing this only extension and didn't work neither.

I even deleted my profile and tried installing this only extension and didn't work neither.

When you say it didn't work at all, what do you mean? Do you mean the keys your talked about using didn't work, or did you read the correct method to use it and that didn't work? Or did it just simply not install or what? I ask with all due respect. I just don't know what "didn't work" means exactly.

I'm using 2.0.0.2 and it's working fine here. How I use it is by clicking the key down in the lower right on the status bar, it logs me into the current site I'm on automatically. Or if I have more then one user for that site (eg Gmail) it brings up a box asking me to chose which one to use. Now, again I don't know how the (Opera) Wand works..but my understanding is about the same.

It installed correctly without any problems. ?I have put the secure login icon on the menubar as they mentioned.

I login 1 time manualy the first time and close FX. ?Then I return to the same website and try alt+n but nothing happen.

what I am doing wrong?

It installed correctly without any problems. I have put the secure login icon on the menubar as they mentioned.

I login 1 time manualy the first time and close FX. Then I return to the same website and try alt+n but nothing happen.

what I am doing wrong?

No, that's the way it's suppose to work and works for me on Gmail. Did you try clicking the key icon to see if it's maybe the shortcut that's not working? What site are you trying this on? Maybe it's the site, have you tried other sites? Does Firefox remember the password correctly? Sorry to just keep asking you questions, but only way I know to troubleshoot.

Here is the Mozilla thread about the extension so you could ask in there to get the makers help as well. I don't mind helping but I'm sure they know more about it then me.

2 everyone, Sorry to be off topic.. just trying to help out.

the websites that don't work are my banking account and http://www.lespac.com (sorry, french website) to only name them.

Of course, they work with Opera's wand. ?For the other websites, I can't tell if they work since Firefox keeps login/password in memory anyway, so I don't see the reason why of this extension

Firefox respects sites that tell it not to save passwords.. some browsers don't (most banks say not to allow saves for security reasons, Yahoo mail use to also do this). There are extensions and bookmarklets that allow you to bypass the banks telling the browser not to save user/pass, which lets browser save them. This extension uses user/passwords saved by Firefox's password manager (If Firefox didn't save them, it won't work, so you have to save them first). Just makes it easier (more wand like). Sorry it's not working for you. Did you post at that link above? Read it?

BTW, I use this extension and like it.. I have nothing to do with making it nor do I know the maker.. just to make it clear.

ah it sucks :(

I would really like to return to Firefox but since Opera wand is the only thing I found working, I am stuck with opera

thanks a bunch for the help

Wish I could have helped more. I would say visit that forum link.. the guy can help way more then I can.

Gah, i've gone back to 2.0.0.1 :(

I tried upgrading, which resulted in a very buggy and crash prone firefox (N)

I tried doing a fresh install, which again resulted in a very buggy and crash prone firefox (N)

I'd advise against this update if firefox 2.0.0.1 runs sweetly for you tbh :)

One of the things that caused a crash for me was pressing the enter key while I was making a forum post :/

Incidentally, everything is sweet again with 2.0.0.1 \o/

It also adds new cleaners (including a DNS cache cleaner, Claude Code, and Visual Studio Code forks), support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles, new deep scan options for developer directories like node_modules and venv, and safer, faster file shredding. All Platforms Added cleaners for Claude Code, DNS cache, and many Visual Studio Code forks. Added support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles. Chrome can now clean downloaded AI models. File shredding is safer, faster, and leaves fewer recoverable traces. Improved handling of cookies, symlinks, Unicode filenames, external processes, and configuration files. Improved Expert Mode warnings and long warning dialogs. Fixed crashes related to cleaner detection, invalid Unicode, and malformed cleaner data. Fixed startup crashes when Python Requests is unavailable. Windows Fixed a security vulnerability that could allow arbitrary file deletion when cleaning with elevated privileges. Added %WindowsSystem% variable support. Improved clipboard clearing using native Windows APIs. Improved installer experience on unsupported Windows versions. Reduced installer size and improved application robustness. Fixed Unicode handling, filename anonymization, Git revision reporting, and splash screen stability. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
