Well, I'm glad Alonso didn't win it - he is an petulant kid and his racing has been all over the place this season; he is also a poor sportsman. Still, this year has been the best year for Formula 1 in decades... possibly ever, despite all the scandals / nonsense with the FIA. Hamilton deserved to win but the team failed him yet again. I'm sure Hamilton will go on to do great things as he dominated the season as a newbie - he is a grounded and likeable character; a good role model to children.

@mclaren2 - Are you being serious? If you are then I'm assuming you're Spanish, hence why you seem so set against Hamilton, even going as far as to call him "ugly" - a statement that is patently untrue. It's like you're talking about a completely different sport.

first of all. let me guess: you are from gbr/usa right?

and no, i am not spanish, i am from austria, and i liked following drivers in the past: berger, hakkinen, coulthard, raikkonen, montoya, hill, villeneuve, and currently i like alonso and massa. all of them for various reasons, but nationality was never a part of it.

yes, i think hami is ugly. he looks ugly. thats my opinion. why should it be untrue? isn't it just subjective if you find someone good looking or ugly?

Hamilton deserved to win but the team failed him yet again.

He failed himself in the last two races due to his own (rookie) mistakes, but I can bet he learned from them. All he had to do today was just hang in the top 4, but he was overly aggressive @ turn 1 and his race & potential Drivers Championship was pretty much done.

I'm not bashing Hamilton, the kid has some serious skills and I give him props for that. (Y)

Hopefully next year we can just have some good racing without all the crap that left a big brown skidmark on this years season.

but raikkonen, a guy who just makes headlines with getting caught drunken somewhere, is not any better.

fernando alonso, despite having the whole team and the FIA against himself, just failed to win his 3rd consecutive wdc by 1 ridiculous point, the point, stolen in hungary by the prooven alonso-hater scott andrews. :pinch:

this year, in f1, was the worst since 1994, with everyone, including the press doing everything preventing alonso of winning his 3rd deserved title. he developped the mp4/22 nearly by himself, a car which failed to win 1 single race in 2006 to the best car in the grid this year in nearly 2 months over the winter.

but it was not meant to be.- british nationalists and the italian mafia both working 200% to get their own agenda through, finally succeeded in destroying everything.

very sad day for the sport. f1 is not the sport anymore it uses to be many many (glory) years ago.

yeah, i get what you're saying, but the sport is a lot more interesting nowadays. i used to cheer for shumi, but he dominated and that wasn't fun. F1 made most money than any other year last year and their ratings were much higher than those glory years you're talking about.

I was a Shumi fan since his Benetton days then with Ferrari, and despite that, it did get boring watching him win all the time with little challenge from anyone else.

You got a valid point there. :laugh: Some of his "tactics" were questionable to say the least (eg. Monte Carlo, parking it in La Rascasse so Alonso couldn't take pole away from him).

Breaking news just on bbc news, BMW could be disqualified due to fuel irregularities and Hamilton could win the championship as he would move up to 5th place finish.

I would post a link to the news but as i said, it was just breaking news on BBC so nothing online yet.

the crane, hungary, fuji, interlagos quali, interlagos race.

sport is dead.

and i remember mosleys reaction after interlagos 95 affair.

i fear the worst for raikkonen (undeserved) and ferrari (deserved).

      Alien Isolation 2 will bring a new protagonist and setting, watch the reveal trailer here by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Only a few weeks ago, Sega and Creative Assembly dropped a teaser for a new Alien Isolation. Today at Summer Game Fest, Alien: Isolation 2 was officially announced with a new trailer while also confirming a whole lot of information about the setting of this survival horror project. Check out the reveal trailer above. Leaving behind the Sevastopol space station, the sequel will take players to a remote colony world. With a Xenomorph (or more) on the loose, players will be navigating both the surface of the weather-ravaged planet as well as "the claustrophobic confines of the Weyland-Yutani outpost of Kurosaki Station." Interestingly, Creative Assembly is leaving behind Amanda Ripley, the daughter of Alien's Ellen Ripley, as the protagonist too. While it hasn't confirmed a name yet, players will be taking the role of a new character for this new adventure. The setting is also being described as a new hunting ground for the Alien. This will have players improvising and developing new tools to aid in their survival and escape, all to avoid "cinema’s deadliest killer." "It has been over a decade since we created the original Alien: Isolation and I am so excited to show everyone the first glimpse of the sequel," says Al Hope, Creative Director at Creative Assembly. "Our dedicated Survival team at Creative Assembly has been working hard to create a new, evolved Isolation experience continuing the legacy of the Alien franchise, making the eponymous killer smarter, the environment harsher and the chance of survival slimmer." Promising the same deadly tension from the original from over a decade ago, Alien: Isolation 2 is in development for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. A release date has not been announced yet.

      Like the article stated, it's written completely from scratch, unlike the umpteen Chromium clones. It got its start as the browser built-in to the also written-from-scratch SerenityOS.

      Hello, From looking at the screen shots in your motherboard's manual at https://endownload.colorful.cn/EnDownload/MotherBroard/2022/Intel 600/Manual/Intel 600 Series BIOS English/Intel 600 Series BIOS User Guide.pdf, you go to the ADVANCED option at the top of the BIOS (UEFI) menu, then select SECURITY in the list of options on the left.  From there  you can enable and set the Secure Boot mode.       Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 is getting a simultaneous release across PC and all consoles by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Square Enix showed up to the Summer Game Fest presentation today with multiple trailers showing off its next chapter in the Final Fantasy VII Remake saga. The final chapter of this trilogy now has an official name too, with it being dubbed Final Fantasy VII Revelation, following up Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth from recent years. Vincent Valentine, Cid, Cloud, Barret, Tifa, and more showed up in the trailers as they battle against enemies, or 'Weapons,' from the final chapter. "As the world teeters on the brink of annihilation, the final battle against Sephiroth begins," says the trailer description. "A meteor mars the sky, monstrous planetary guardians wreak havoc across the globe, and the fires of war rage. Now, Cloud and his companions must stand against this chaos to not only decide the planet's fate, but bring a legendary conflict to its conclusion." Following the reveal trailer, the show also dropped some gameplay footage that shows off a new way to travel across the open world using the Highwind airship. Players will be able to swap characters on during battles, use tactical mode to synchronize with allies, and summon their entities. Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine are joining the party this time too. “FINAL FANTASY VII, first released in 1997, has been beloved by fans for many years and has since become a “legend” in its own right," added producer Yoshinori Kitase. "The FINAL FANTASY VII Remake Series that began in 2020 with everyone’s passionate support is finally reaching its climactic finale with FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION. The story’s final destination represents my emotions spanning thirty years working on this title" One of the biggest revelations of this announcement, however, was the multiplatform release confirmation from the get-go. Square Enix will be releasing Final Fantasy VII Revelation across PC, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5 in Spring 2027 without any timed exclusivity programs.
