Bay120 has been updated with the Windows Live Hotmail branding here.

I'm guessing Microsoft will allow users to choose between @hotmail and @live (therefore giving a bigger choice of email addresses). I'm hoping so anyway - otherwise I'll be one of the few with an @live address.

I preferred the fonts in all the previous milestones, not sure why they changed them
Yea me too. The new fonts aren't bad, but the previous one's looked better.

Yeah same here. I thought the font thing was only happening to me because I'm on Mac.

I agree about the name change! It is awful! I loved "Windows Live Mail" because it went well with the names "Live Messenger" and "Live Mail desktop" You don't see them having "Live Hotmessenger" and "Live Hotmail desktop" do you? No. That would be even more horrible anyway, but I hate inconsistencies!

What everyone needs to do is go to: http://feedback.live.com and lick on "Windows Live Mail" and tell them that the name change is horrible and then they will hopefully change it back.

I think, secretly, they may only be calling it "Windows Live Hotmail" temporarly for about a year to try and get the old Hotmail users transitioned much mre comforatably and so they are not confused. Then in about a year or so, hopefully they will change it back to "Windows Live Mail". Does anyone else think they might be doing this?

About the font: I quite like it. It will take a lil bit of time to get used to it, but I love the size of the message subjects, etc.

I also love the new Windows Live Messenger intergration where you can click on the new buddy icons in an e-mail message to open a WLMessenger window and talk! You can also see if they are online and offline - This is brillaint and I am one of the ones who suggested it! :-D Let's hope they can extend that to include it in the contact list in the next version!

Also LiveSide has a new article up guys: http://www.liveside.net/blogs/main/archive...mail-going.aspx

In that it says WLH have officially announced that it will be released within "a few weeks"!!!!!!!!! Fan-tastic news! Finally!

Anyway just to confirm to you all, bays 105 and 116 have been updated today!

/me clicks on feedback.live.com and submits feedback on name....

"I don't like Hotmail. Get rid of that name! Windows Live Hotmail thumbs down! Ewww! You trying to help Frank *someone i know who is olllddd!* with his old mouth, cough hotmail cough microsoft vista cough msn cough cough! Seems like it! Ewww! I'm a fanboy, what happened?! Don't you love me anymore?"

u think they will change name back?????

    • I spent a good 15 min today trying to get new Outlook to use my default browser instead of forcing links into Edge. That kinda tactic is shady and it sucks.

    • Also try installing an alternative browser on ChromeOS. You have to enable dev mode and run it as a Linux app. Clunky.
