|OFFICIAL| Halo 3 Beta Blowout

For real. If the time comes we need to band out into groups to the people who take this all way to seriously and only care about their stats and the people who play just for fun and keep track of their stats, then I for one have no issues at all with that if it means everyone enjoying themselves.

For the record we all want to compete, we all just do not care about being the best players on the planet.

I agree, I am a competative person only from the time the game starts until it ends, after that is all about laughing out ourselves for the dumb/awsome things we did

I came into work yesturday and told my supervisor that i had a k/d ration of 3:1 and she was like "uhh huhh, and did this further our soceity in any fashion? [/joke]

some people act like putting there a level 11billion will go on their resume and get them a job...

Okay. See, now you guys are taking it to far. I've said from the get go that, that was a good game for him..I just pointed out his flaw. Why is it when I seem to say well you died a lot everyone gets upset, but when I said that..that is a good game for him it's overlooked?

Btw, level 21 in Team Skirmish not 11billion.

i wasnt by anymeans referring to you... I ment in general somepeople are overly obsessed about there rank...im i think a 17 in rumble pit? or mb it was 14 something or other

I own

Bungie needs to fix matchmaking, i always seem to face overpowered or underpowered opponents :s

Well that's the point of the beta, to test the matchmaking so they can have it (as close to) perfect come release.

Can't say i've had a problem with the opponents it's placed me against though, it's always been just right.

Woah guys, I'm really fine with his comment. I don't need encouragement or anything. I can get extremely good at any game I put enough time into (some I just rock already :p) so I don't need encouragement. I know that in time I'll be much better, so it's no problem.

One thing I've noticed about my gameplay is that I start off really strong and kicking ass, but a little further into the round I start to screw up. I just need to fix that :/

Is noone playing this game to have fun, everybody is talking about skills, owning, kicking ass and stats :s

Ewww, It's one of those games where everybody is turning elitist?

<- I am. I could really care less about my stats or ranking. Parties are just too fun for me to care about it much.

(hence, why I'm in recreation and not pro)

I'll have to admit that I enjoy seeing my stats being high and my rank being high. I'm not too good at anything else so at least I can see that I'm excellling in something. I get angry in most of the games that I am losing but when I'm playing with friends, or with you guys, I try as hard as possible to keep it in. The last thing I want is to have a bunch of people on a forum hating on me.

@DirtyLarry: When you say competive, do you mean at like MLG tournaments? If so, then no. I just played MLG gametypes and Team Hardcore all the time.

^ I meant like just play where it is kept track of, in a league I guess would be the best way to explain it.

Leaving work now, will be playing for possibly an hour or so when I get home in about an hour. Heroes is on though and I also have a side freelance job I have to get going on, so I might not play, but if I do, it is definitely as soon as I get home.

Well, Monkey, Green Eyes, myself, creamhackered and Paul had some good games. We got owned on the last one.

They have added 6 on 6 now for BTB (I think it stands for Big Team Brawl) so we had some 12 people matches.

THE BANSHEE was on Valhalla, so that was nice. Anyway, hopefully later on we can get a nice 12 man Neowin match going on. I'm getting sick of the little kids. :p

The Bansee was there? I didn't see it when we did BTB on Valhalla today. Maybe it's just certain gametypes? What were you playing?

BTW, Meshuggah, it stands for Big Team Battle smile.gif

Haha, nice. I'm gonna try and take that eventually, just need some more time :pinch: smile.gif

Haha no doubt you'll take it :p You got some slick moves.

On Valhalla, the side with the beach, the Banshee is up on the cliff side to the right (there's a small edge). And on the other side the banshee is straight at the back of the base :) It's only available in BTB Training playlist for the moment I think.

edit: Noy.r3D2, you need a copy of Crackdown with the beta included (boxes marked with a sticker).

That is exactly what I do, read it and weep.
MillerGDraft said someone must have died alot for you guys to get those high scores so quickly. Well, guess who that was. laugh.gif
Of course you have to include my worst game!!

My best game by far was the Team Neutral Bomb that bangbang was part of. As sad as it may sound, if you check the Carnage, I believe that was the first game I was in the plus. blush.gif

Seriously though I suck at the free for all, but I consider myself a semi-decent player when there is a team goal in mind.

    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
    • I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point. With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware). The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices.... But to each their own.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
